Title: AIConf 2008 meeting announced
Post by: Varthall on June 26, 2008, 01:53:00 AM
This year's edition of the Codex Alpe Adria fair has been unfortunately cancelled. In its place, Radicadesign, with the collaboration of the Municipality of Papozze, is organizing a meeting called AIConf (Alternative Italian Conference) 2008, devoted to alternative platforms. The event will be held on Saturday 12th July in Papozze, near Rovigo, Italy, inside the Papozze's sport arena.

A website covering the event has been recently opened (in italian only): http://aiconf.radicadesign.com/ (http://aiconf.radicadesign.com/). The following exibitors have confirmed their participation:

- ACube Systems Srl (http://www.acube-systems.biz), demonstrating the Sam440 board and all the latest company's products
- Cloanto (http://www.cloanto.com/), presenting Amiga Forever 2008
- Bitplane (http://www.bitplane.it) magazine
- Virtual Works (http://www.virtualworks.it/)
- ItBUG (http://www.itbug.org/), the Italian BeOS UserGroup

During the event presentations of MorphOS and Efika, AmigaOS 4, AROS, Linux and Haiku will be held, as well as an Amiga retrocomputing part and a Kick Off tourney.

Hello guys and girls! (if any)  \8^)

Great news for us in Italy!
Always new events to join, talk and keep alive!
I really hope to come to Rovigo!

...and about Codex Alpe Adria: I spoke with Michele Console of Cloanto and I didn't feel a cancellation of the event, but just some personal obligations and tasks among the organizers did not permit the event to happen this year.
We may say it's in stand-by state, even waiting for what will come out of the Amiga scene in the next months... :-)

Hear u 'n da future!
