Title: Luciferin Flashrom Software V4.0 Update available
Post by: platon42 on June 23, 2008, 12:37:21 AM
A new Luciferin version is available for E3B flashrom solutions (Romulus, Algor(Pro) and Deneb). It fixes the  infamous yellow guru problem among other improvements.

Luciferin 4.0 / BootLoader 6.0
- Integrates bootloaders into Luciferin.
- New RMBONLY deactivation option.
- Possible to configure modules to be activated under AmigaOS 4 only or only under AmigaOS 3.x
- Fixes a (harmless but annoying) guru with SetPatch and exec upgrade.
- Fixed an enforcer hit in a special situation (reported by aPEX).
- Other small enhancements.

The update can be downloaded from

Tried it briefly this morning under OS 4 on my Deneb - still didn't work.... the Luciferin app says "the ROM disable update jumper is set" even though it's not.

I presume I need that flash update which is mentioned.....

I also tried flashing data, though - which worked before - and this time it came up with lots of "Verify checksum error"s... so I don't know what's up there....

Don't flash under OS4. For some reasons, it doesn't work. Maybe the 68k emulation is causing havok here.

I actually get that error when cold rebooting back into OS3 from OS4. Only a power cycle gets rid of it (clearing the reset vectors doesn't help). It might be occurring under my OS4 as well, but I've never encountered the error since I don't use the Flash ROM in OS4 (Poseidon gets loaded from disk).
