The XTR or in full name Xtreme Racing was released in 1995 by Silltunna Software Ltd. (now Tuna Technologies Limited) In my opinion, it is the best racing game on Amiga, if you knows it, you know it is a real curio, with a wonderful playability. I announce it happily, by favour of the Silltunna aka Tuna Technologies Limited, the following AmigaSYS versions (WinUAE, E-UAE, Amiga 1200/4000, XBOX) will contain the full HD version (Game+Editor) of the game!
A separate downloadable version will not included only the built-in version in the AmigaSYS.

@a1260
you ever heard the saying "dont speak unless you can improve the silence"

@JJ
:-)

@a1260
This AmigaSYS will be his inbuilt game.
-
This was an excellent game, and I commend both yourself and Siltuna for making such titles available for free. However, I would like to suggest that it also be provided as a separate download, for those who do not wish to use AmigaSYS.
Cheers,
James

Whats up with all the hating on AmigaSYS?
Come on folks? this is a great service to folks that use UAE and aga Amigas.
If you want the game that bad then go buy it....
-
I'm simply suggesting that the game should also be made available as a separate download.
Real3D was recently made freely available as part of AmiKit, however the ADFs were still offered separately.
Allow people to chose, that is all I am saying...
Cheers,
James

@jmbattle
:D
You are ridiculous. Onto your adult existence. The game is built in for them who use it AmigaSYS packet. Not because of that, how AmigaSYS packet is used because of the game. Your comments are funny. :D Many people believe this though. You make yourself go down with this simply. Congratulations. :lol:
AmigaSYS was allowed in this manner to a packet (Full HD installed ver). It is not possible to download it because of that separately. Logician. According to me...
Anyway the Real3D project. He is only 1 business for you. Only from that direction there is a word. But, free. You know it we it free? He is what does not point into the on-line shop.
-
I don't see what the problem is here. It will be trivial to copy the files off the archive.
Frankly, I'd much rather see the game as separate download, but if that's not going to happen then so be it.
-
I do not understand it we the problem.
They have time for it very much...
It would be necessary to occupy themselves with something else.
The news is about AmigaSYS inbuilt version, and thanks for Tuna Technologies...
@JJ is for you true.
"dont speak unless you can improve the silence"
Anyway from here downloadable legal DMS files:

@DaryASYS
thanks you saved my day, now we don't need the dead meat amigasys or whatever it is!
:lol:
-
@a1260
I do not understand it your hint. AmigaSYS is Amiga AGA onto machines. May be you do not have need onto him. But others are glad, how is. Write about your comment in greater detail. Wait for your answer.

What, no "thank you" to DaryASYS for making the effort to get this awesome game packaged up nicely for emulation users? It's no wonder so many Amiga projects get abandoned when there is so much hostility in the "community". If you don't want to use AmigaSYS, then extract the bloody files from the archive! Or if you were really prepared to make any effort at all, look on Back2Roots and you will realise that you can already download the game from there, to save yourself the inconvenience.
I really wonder why many people are here at all when all they seem to do is b1tch at the people who work hard on projects for the community and ask for nothing back. It's pathetic.

emulator users we don't care about, people should use their effort on the real thing. make new games, new programs and new hw for the a1200/a4000, thats what they should do, period!
people will b1tch when they see a pointless projects they are forced to use. and people get p1ssed off when they cant get the game, when they only want the game, people want a choice!.......
is it so damn hard to understand? :-x
-
A1260: I always wonder whats your problem, and I have never ever seen any productive from you.
DarySys: Dont listen to this guy, he only troll..
Great work and keep it up.
-
i have no problem i explained perfectly well in my other post that people want a choice...
but of course everyone that don't agree with you or have the same saying as you must be a troll... :roll:
-
@A1260
Who's forcing you to use anything? You do have a choice. You can either use the AmigaSYS version compiled by DaryASYS, or you can download it from Back2Roots. That doesn't make DaryASYS's project pointless, it just means it's not the right solution for you. And it seems to me that your only contribution is badmouthing people whose views differ from yours.

people should use their effort on the real thing. make new games, new programs and new hw for the a1200/a4000, thats what they should do, period!
So why don't you take your own advice and do something productive?

is it so damn hard to understand?
Actually, yes it is hard to understand. "b1tching" never accomplishes anything and is one of the main reasons the Amiga community is falling apart these days.

To sum up, how dare these people give their time to a free project and not do it exactly as A1260 thinks they should! :roll:

Wikipedia says this about XTreme Racing:
Xtreme Racing requires an Amiga with an AGA chipset (such as the Amiga 1200, Amiga 4000, or an ECS/OCS Amiga with a Graphics Accelerator Card supporting AGA emulation.
I'm a little confused about the "AGA emulation" part. I have an A2000 with a Picasso II RTG board running through Cybergraphix. Can I run this game.
I wasn't aware any RTG graphics card could do "AGA emulation" (i.e. emulate the AGA chipset & AGA modes)?? Is this just a case of a badly worded Wikipedia article?
-
DaryASYS - Fantastic job love this game and it's great to play again even if it's on the PeeCee. Great Job!
A1260
Why do you continue to moan, as others have said use it or don't. No-one is forcing you.
-
@A1260: C'mon man, you can't be serious... Did you ever have the idea that many things probably wouldn't have happened without emulation? E.g. because developers wouldn't have a chance to have an Amiga system with them on their laptops? And because there was no hardware they could buy? There's nothing wrong with emulation, in fact it helped (and still helps) the Amiga to survive.
-
Thx Colani1200 ,yes that's true a lot of people uses uae to develop (program, demo, etc.), wich is preferred by you for a laptop theme, if you travelling, passians or XTR under AmigaSYS?:D
-
I've read what you wrote. Frankly this is unbelievable. Is somebody does something then that's the problem, if not that's a problem too. That is why the Amiga community holds there. Some guys can cry down a several year long work. This is not just about the AmigaSYS, but for example the more than ten years long past of WinUAE too.
Frankly if the XTR could be downloaded separately i would be ashamed of what kind of people could be acces the game, who are takes the others' work to nothing, but they download the game. And after 30 sec, they will write to the forum, that how bad is AmigaSYS. I would defaultly ban these from the downloads. :D
Have you downloaded the OnEscapee? I've not heard from you, that this is good, finally it is free and it is based on someone's several month of work, while you did not moved an icon. But yes, what i am thinking when i put a game into the pack, wich is released over ten platforms, include the Amiga.
This is really pathetic.
A lot of people would be mad about the posts, but i don't care, because i know, over 1000 people waits for that things, wich are taken to nothing by you.
To those, who don't care: Nobody ordered you, to use it. Live further in your virtual world. But please do not poison a topic wich is not come close to you. Everybody knows, whom goes this post.
Respect to the exception and thanks for the good comments.

Start *CODING*, then! :roll: When you actually *MAKE* something, far more than a simple "Hello World" that we can all use, I'll have a bit more respect for you. Until then, if you want to get something for free, I've got a fart just waiting for you in my @$$hole...
Thanks for support, DanyASYS. I'll be sure to check it out in UAE. Your system does run faster than AmiKit, but there's still a few things that I'd rather not use. I'll definitely have to check it out, when I get my Amithlon drive up and running again.
Oh wait.....
That's an "emulator".... *rolls eyes*
[EDIT] - You know, I didn't even notice until just now, but A1260 is as rabid about A1200/A400's as Doomy was about A500/A2000's. When it comes to Amiga models, he's the anti-thesis of Doomy, but identical in every, other aspect.
Interesting.....
-
@Methuselas
can you describe what do you mean by things you'd rather not use? Some of the programs? Or other? Thanks
-
@ DaryASYS
Nothing major. I just like my AmiDock. ;) I don't really care for the "Windoze" start bar.
-
@DaryASYS
Keep up the good work man! :-D
@ral-clan

I don't know the answer to this ral-clan, but I would be interested to know the answer. If nobody here knows whether the game will run on your A2000 can you try it out?
-
I believe XTR's 3D engine bangs the hardware somewhat. As such, I very much doubt it can be played without an AGA Amiga - unless there is an RTG patch floating around out there...
Great game though. ;)
Cheers,

You can have your opinion, but I still say Supercars 1 & 2, StuntCarRacer and Skidmarks are way better than XTR, just to name a few.
-
Admittedly, SuperCars 2 is an absolutely classic.
Back in the day, I only copied the first disk from a friend, so was restricted to playing just the easy tracks, but even so... what a game! ;)

ATR is very good according to me! But Stunt Car Racer too :)
-
Yes, ATR was good fun too, although I never owned the full game - rely just on the demo coverdisks (which were also winter-theme related!).

James
