Title: The AMIX Wiki has moved
Post by: Tahoe on January 11, 2008, 11:24:06 PM
After being hosted "from home" the Wiki has now found a real home.

The AMIX Wiki is must-have for all those who own an A3000UX, A2500UX or other compatible machine and have an interest in this lesser known OS for the Amiga.

The site includes FAQ's on how to install, even if no A3070 tape drive is available, it contains drivers for later 3rd party hardware and even pre-compiled software.

You can now find it being hosted at www.amigaunix.com (http://www.amigaunix.com).

Interesting stuff. I wonder how many Amix compatible systems are still out there. I have a GVP 3001 68030 card that's Amix compatible though I've nver tried it. (I didn't see that one on the compatibility list.)

Don't know when I'll get the time to try, but thanks for the wiki page. That will make it alot easier.

Has anyone thought to try an SCSI CD rom  in  place of the tape to install?

I see there is support for the Picasso II/II+.

Would this by any chance work with the Picasso IV?

(I have an A300UX with 3070)

You'll probably just have to try and see. Follow the guide I did for the Picasso II+ install and let us know.

Good Luck,
Jeff
