Title: AmiBench Closes
Post by: tecno on November 19, 2007, 03:11:42 AM
Due to long term work commitments and other projects in the pipe line I have today closed AmiBench.

I would like to thank everyone who over the last 10 years who has used AmiBench for buying and selling Amiga items.

I do suggest that if you have items to sell that you continue to use amiga.org.

Once again many thanks for all your time over the last 10 years.

Thanks Amibench. I noticed a sad drop off of adverts over the past year. Take your rightful place in the golden era. :-)

Thanks for the hard work and for supporting the amiga community for so long, I check the sight daily and too was surprised at the lack of listings recently, so I can see why it would close. Ahh well, I suppose now ill just have to get used to daft Ebay  prices! :-D

Any chance you would let anyone else take over the site if anyone is interested?

Sad to see you go!

Mark,
Very sorry to Amibench close - I have bought, sold and requested many items through you over the last few years.
Yours was a unique resource - giving such a service whilst asking nothing in return.

All the best in your current life.
If you treat your upcoming projects with the same dedication and professionalism you have shown with Amibench I'm sure you will prosper.

Regards

Richard

I used amibench too:(

very sad to see it go.

It should come back bigger and better with accounts, picture manager and bid function plus a new logo and design and they should take a small percentage for sales like 3% when the highest bidder or buyer buys it.

So each seller would have to register credit card or debit card.

Just thoughts.

How much is the IP? i'll buy it:)
