Hey everyone!
Here's a little Halloween gift for everyone. We only decided to make it two weeks ago, so it's a little rushed, the graphics and music will be finished off by the time the full game comes out, but here's a little demo of our new game, Halloween Nightmare.
http://aminet.net/package/game/demo/HalloweenNightmareDemo
It should run on most Amigas with a hard drive, but extra RAM and a faster CPU will help speed it up since it was made in Backbone (a game engine based around Amos routines).
I hope you like it!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
Love from Moya

I tried running it in WinUAE, but it just says "xec.library", so I guess I need that?
Does anyone know where to download it? :-)

working fine here under latest e-uae on os4, under wb3.1 installed HD + scalos. :-P
-
Ah, I just tried running it in CLI from a mounted Windows directory (without Workbench).

I haven't played it, but watched the preview video (http://saivert.xerc.biz/HalloweenNightmareDemo.avi) instead. Must admit that I've seen less sexy game characters climbing some stairs...

Nice job! But the baddy animations indeed need work (as in they're not there ;-)).

@McVenco
yeah, I almost fell out of my chair when she went down the first ladder. Reminds me of the old Elvira game in the skin department.
seriously though, a pretty good platformer, needs a little work, more baddies and maybe an intro video to be top drawer.
btw, it works fine on an ECS A2000 with A2620/A2091 combination.

Thanks for trying the game out! We ran out of time before Halloween to finish all the animations and music and stuff for the demo, I assure you the enemies will be more lively in the full game, and hopefuly any bugs will be fixed, and the music will be even better (our composer only had a two-day deadline to get those tunes made from scratch).
Oh, and we really want to have an intro as well, but we don't know anyone who can draw anime-style art.

Seems a great game! Well designed gfx, nice music! I`m looking forward to playing the full version!
P.S. OCS gfx look wonderful! And AMOS coding is way cooler (reminds me of the talented AMOS coder DawnBringer (http://hem.fyristorg.com/dawnbringer/)).
