Wikipedia to (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furry_fandom) the rescue (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furry_fandom#Sex_and_furry_fandom)
It's no big secret that EWS has also drawn some adult material. However, I had no clue he was so open about it these days.

if amiga anywhere had taken off better, maybe he wouldn't have had to resort to pushing nekid animal drawings to make a living. :-P

Resort to? Sexuality (read: pr0n) drives innovation. The most recent examples are the adoption of VHS over Beta, the relatively quick move from VHS to DVD, and the rapid growth of the commercial Internet. HD-DVD is likely to win out over Blu-Ray based solely on its backing by the adult film industry.
Of course, innovation has nothing to do with Teenage Mutant Naked Turtles. The bottom line: Sex sells. (Trite but true.) Good for Eric for capitalizing on it. ;-)

:-P = , apparently, then. Who knew.

Sloppy usage--a 'furry' is either an anthropomorphic animal character--Bugs bunny, Micky Mouse, Sabrina Skunk--or someone who likes to dress up like one; see the CSI episode (no, I don't remember either season or name, sorry) on these folks, it gets much more right than wrong. Come to think of it, the few times Eric has shown up in Sabrina On Line, he's been some sort of rodent--a gopher, perhaps?--so, I guess he really /is/ a furry... :mickeymouse:
What he's doing there is simply a sub-sub genre of the field. A BIG sub-sub genre, but still....
