To celebrate the 1000th article of the magazine Obligement, Carl Sassenrath returns through this long interview
on its origins at Amiga Inc. in the 1980's (Manager of AmigaOS and Amiga CDTV system development, among others), the bankruptcy of Commodore, its passages at Apple Computer and Viscorp, Amiga NG, or on its new revolutionary language REBOL. A great name of Silicon Valley !

Yes indeed. An interesting read :-)

At Apple, it was interesting to see what engineers thought of the Amiga. Most of them thought that the Amiga would totally destroy Apple. Technically, Amiga could have, but they did not know what I knew about Commodore marketing.
Ugh! :-( I don't feel well.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Carl at a couple of events (AmiWest last year being the most recent), and must say I have the upmost respect for him as a computer whiz and as a person. I did not realize he and I are only a year apart in age though. You don't look half bad for an old fart Carl. Welcome to the over 50 club. When is the date so we can send you the black balloons and such that accompany such a milestone in your life?
Have a great birthday whenever it is.
