Fixed ;-)

Wow, looks terrific - keep up the good work Jan!
I wasn't even aware that Scalos had its own icon format...
Cheers,

I believe this relates to the way icons keep track of 'snapshot' positions, states, etc. -- for whatever reason, everyone seems to do it a little differently.
-
Ah, I seem cheers Ken.
By the way, congratulations on those icons - they look terrific!
Cheers,

I was assigned a new machine at work - want to put Amikit on it.
PRB: I CANNOT download the file to set it up! It never finished, and the link that is purported to allow resumed downloads takes me to some site in a language I cannot read.
What can I do ?

I just checked it and both download locations (http://amikit.amiga.sk/forum/index.php?action=vthread&forum=3&topic=255) works. Please try again.
Also don't forget to install the cumulative (1.3.0) update on top of the v1.2.0 installation.

Lame crapware. Try AmigaSYS instead.
-
Wow, that was a fast response!
Yes, I'm trying again. Thanks for the awesome support!

@ Minuous
Have you used it, I think it works very well as a winuae setup, gets you pretty much everything you need and a top-end amiga experience. Well in fact on my PC it actually works much better than my souped up A1200.
Why do you think its crap, some reasons would be good

EDIT
nevermind, he has his own unique reasons...

Thanks! :-)
Hopefully, another 2-3 months and I'll have AmiKit completely repainted (icons, anyway!).
Eventually, I'll probably release them as version 4 of 'Ken's Icons' -- but haven't decided yet.

Minuous, while AmigaSYS may have been the first package to provide an easy to use Amiga emulation distribution, AmiKit takes this concept and extends the functionality far beyond any other package.
AmigaSYS is a reasonably good collection of software, yet it lacks the attention to detail and polish that has made AmiKit the distribution of choice.
Cheers,
James

I have not been able to get the v1.2 install to work on my Dell XPS 700. Do you have any plans on preparing a new 1.3.3 full install?

What was the problem exactly? Looking at your HW config, maybe it is enough to download newer WinUAE. Copy the executable to AmiKit/WinUAE directory. You might want to read the Known Bugs (http://www.amikit.amiga.sk/known-bugs.htm) section too.
Do you have any plans on preparing a new 1.3.3 full install?
The next full installation archive is planned for v1.4.0.
