does it come with any apps such as lunar paint? if not there isent really much for me to play around with there ...

You can use this (http://archives.aros-exec.org/index.php?function=showfile&file=emulation/utility/winarosstart.exe) to add any file you like.

I use a similar program to write to the "virtual cd". it works great and I have been able to copy newer versions of Lunapaint to my copy of AROS lite easily.
I hope they get the download problem solved quickly!

Sorry for the inconvenience...
This Time it should really work.

what is a 7z??? is that a zip file?
yes, ok, I found out what it is. I'm just having trouble opening it in my WinUAE.

Extracting an Archive in WinUAE, that is meant for usage under Windows doesnt make much sense, doesnt it ?

i hate to install programs in windows - but yesterday I did (the 7z program. And even before you suggested it here. I'm just loath to deal with windows too much).
all went well and now I have my WinAROS not only on the HD but the flash drive.
there's nothing quite as fun as having a portable amiga OS that I can show people!
thanks for the patience.
I found an amiga 7z program before I broke down and decided to use the windows version and it really does work in WinUAE - there just wasn't enough memory to get the job done. So, I lost nothing by trying.
