Here are a few Amiga things I have up on eBay:
Amiga 1200 Computer, still in its original box
DataFlyer XDS external hard disk for the Amiga 1200
M68030, 50 MHz board for the Amiga 1200
Amiga 1200 Power Supply
2 - 2.5 inch hard disks
Memory Expansion for the Amiga 600
The eBay account name is spenceranne. I also have a 040 board for the Amiga 2500. I am willing to trade it for the Commodore 030 board. :-D
-
AHHAHAHAHAAHAH!
-
Funny thing is, he basically hasmost of the parts exactly that I have on my Amiga 1200. :-D
-
Well, you shot yourself in the foot there buddy :-)
Having yeilded to your oft posted views, we know all know that all of the above components are worthless crap for toys and none of us will buy it...;-)
Seriosuly, who wants a standard A1200PSU though?
-
Yea,
I have that one bigfoot power supply on my Amiga. Heh, his items being worthless crap? :)
-
Well "DoomMaster", you certainly seem to have some "fans" now, from memory I think it was mips_proc who recently joined the list in supporting you, was it?
Just keep up the advertising, I think you're going to gain more 'fans'
-
iamaboringperson it isnt that 'support' him, I think its funny that however minimal someones quirks are others will be greatly offended, so DoomMaster believes in 'military spec' chips and 'amiga 1200s are toys' ... so what? ... its hilarious it winds you guys up... I dont see any reason to dislike the guy over it... hell I dont even dislike KennyR even though I disagree with just about everything he says, I'm not about to launch a hate campaign against someone I disagree with. Ya gotta lighten up :-D
DoomMaster strikes me as an ok fella and I'd buy from him on ebay based not on some off-beat forum posts, but based on his excellent feedback record.
-
Could you post links to your auctons? Oh, What size are the harddiscs?
-
Well, not that I'm jumping on the doomie band wagon or anything but here's a deal Doomie. I just opened up one of my spare A2000's and removed the 2630 board for inspection.
The board specs...
P/N 312291 REV 6 THE EDGE
REV 7 Upgrade P/N's A2630 U103 390283-07
HI 01D3. and A2630 U102 390282-07 LO 65DA
CPU P/N XC68030RC25B 11B67R DEA08924
FPU 68882RC25A 4B96M DEA18919
AWOAD U.S.A. is also printed on the chips
If this is what your looking for, I'd trade for a 1200 in the box in working order as long as it can be guaranteed not to have been cleaned with WD40 !
Maybe we could find a middle man/escrow sort of thing for the deal.
If this interests you Doomie just Pmail me and I could take a snapshot and Email it to you. It's still all nice and shiney just like new. I also Have some other boards for the A2000,PC emu boards,Emplant,2058 Ram expansion, A2091SCSI, ect.
:-)
-
I will trade you the Amiga 1200 for all of the Amiga 2000 boards. Ship me the boards, in silver anti-static bags, and I will ship you the Amiga 1200 computer. You can trust me (check my FB on eBay). :-D
-
I think Doomie is cool...I would by from him, he has
great feedback and obviously knows how to handle
sensitive electronics. Plus, I think his posts are funny as
hell!!. :)
-
Seems as though we can maybe make a deal but if you want all of the boards, I would like an 030 and a hard drive setup that works. I will gather a list of all the boards for you, and Pmail you the details. I think at this point we can go private to work out the details. :-)

hey DoomMaster wich solution intrests you more, AmigaOne or Pegasos ?

Go get em DoomieTiger! :-D

To meerschaum:

The modern Amiga computers are NOT real Amigas, so I am not interested in them. The Amiga 4000 Tower was the last of the real Amigas. When I need a fast, powerful computer, I always use my Pentium 4 computer. I use my other computers for the FUN stuff. :-P
-
well thats a good outlook! I can understand that, ya wanna have fun with the classic systems.
-
... its hilarious it winds you guys up...
@meers
Yeah it was funny at first. I was cracking up like never before. But that was when I thought he was for real! And the jokes were 'fresh'
Now it's just the same old joke. Imagine hearing the same old "Q. Why did the chicken cross the road? A. To get to the other side!" joke 10 times a week! It's enough to send one insane!
If you like old jokes, you can always go back and read the old threads.
Trolls usually crack me up, and don't bother me too much, perhaps it's just that it's just the same old tireing joke.
I don't know, perhaps I just need more sleep :-P
-
more sleep for sure ;)

I thought for sure that DoomMaster was going to pick the
Pegasos, being that it's made in Germany and all. ;)
-
@DoomMaster
Obviously you guys don't understand how the PC works.
I'm going to clear this up in a simple way now,
-I've read you people writing that Quake isn't loaded
into the processor and it's possible that that is true -
for something like an Amiga or another computer with a
small processor. I have however got a 300 MHZ processor
so Quake fits easily there (you see; Quake is about 240 MHZ).
I understand that you can't load it into an Amiga that is
roughly16MHZ. If you have only 16MHZ it's naturally not
possible to load such big games, so you'll have to settle
for small games until the Amiga has reached the capacity
of the PC.
What do you think? :-D
-
Hey Doomie read your Pmail, I sent you the list of boards. Let me know what you think.
Cheers !
T.23 :-)
-
Well "DoomMaster", you certainly seem to have some "fans" now, from memory I think it was mips_proc who recently joined the list in supporting you, was it?
Well I will certainly soon be asking for a signed photo

More wise words from the the all-knowing, all-seeing, DOOMMASTER :-P. Tempted to ask the all-knowing a few questions, but not sure if I dare...
1. What is 'FUN stuff'?
2. Do you work for Intel?
3. What is a REAL Amiga?
4. Can I have your autograph?
-
Maybe I should mention I'm selling an Amiga1200
Power Tower 040PPC + Bviz complete for $800AUD
(about $450USD)
you know get in on the act :-D
-
@panthro
I just wish I had the money to buy off your Amiga! :-D But someday I want a PPC Amiga to just have it for classical reasons. :-)
-
yeah it's cool once you get a dsl link onto one
Amiga software is so compack you feel like your cheating I love showing that to PC wielding techno geeks :-D ;-)
-
@panthro
Yea,
I liked how Amiga software was always alot smaller. I always liked the Sierra-Online games. Kings Quest 4 is like one of my alltime favorites on Amiga. ;-)

Yes indeed, it seems you were a total bastard to one bloke! The story: here (http://www.zaug.netmegs.com/ah.html)
If this guys story is true (from your nature on a.org I guess it is) you ####ed him over on the feedback front! The guy also states that all the good feedback my be for deals that DoomMasters wife has done on the account, not him.
-
@kd7ota
dont forget Dynamite!!
I can D/L that and install and play in the time it takes for a PC to connect to a Battle Field 1942 game :-o
not the same but funny a good laugh at LANS
I have made $50 doing that !!! :-D

Yes! Lorddef! Well done! You deserve a Blue Peter Badge for that one! :-)
DoomMaster, it would seem you have been caught hook, line and sinker part 2! Lets tell the missus! :-)

To ####ney_dave:
1. What is 'FUN stuff'?
I use my Amiga computers and Atari ST computer for playing vintage video games. I use Deluxe Paint 4 on my Amiga 2500 to draw artwork for PC video games. One of my hobbies is video game designing. I use my Atari ST for MIDI music. I use my Macintosh SE for desktop publishing and for keeping track of my eBay customers.
2. Do you work for Intel?
No. I actually do not like Intel. I live near one of their main plants here in Beaverton. Intel does not care about their employees or their customers. They only care about making money.
3. What is a REAL Amiga?
Real Amiga computers have the OCS, ECS or AGA Chip Set. The older an Amiga is, the more real it is, the Amiga 1000 being THE Real Amiga !
4. Can I have your autograph?
Yes. :-D

You do not know what you are talking about. I did NOT f**k him over on the feedback. In fact, he got exactly what he deserved. I wanted him to leave positive feedback for me first. I did not do anything wrong. I bid and won his auction. Then I sent him a money order in a timely manner. So, I deserved the positive feedback that he left for me. I then gave him a negative feedback because he DID deserve it. Before bidding, I asked the seller many questions and he answered them with lies. I also had to wait for over a month to get the item, and all the seller offered me was excuses. That is not a good way to do business. If people ask me questions about stuff that I am selling on eBay, I tell them the truth, even if it means losing the sale. My good reputation means more to me then making a quick buck! :-D
-

Some sellers on ebay are complete lyers. I have just bought a faulty dvd player off of someone on ebay and the person i am getting it from was sold it on understanding it was full working order but the seller lied to him and i have bought it and he has lost a lot of money on it.
Besides some people on ebay are dishonest because they can make more money that way.
Give doomaster some credit his feedback is very good . :-)

To amigamad:

Thanks dude ! :-D :-D :-D :-D

Doomie has shown himself to regularly be highly overreactive in situations like this, and I personally find the seller's arguments quite feasible. Note, I am NOT saying who's right here.
However, the Big Book of Amiga Hardware states that KS 2.04 and ECS did not start until motherboard revision 6.3; The one in question was 6.2 and the Kickstart was one of Doommasters biggest complaints. ECS and KS2.04 were introduced together, so if the guy said the motherboard doesn't have the ECS Denise(and he did), why would it automatically come with KS 2.04??
Sounds like Doommaster got some factual information wrong, and then attacked this guy.
-
To Wain:
the Kickstart was one of Doommasters biggest complaints.
NO, it was not. My biggest complaint was about the seller not telling me the truth about the battery leakage corrosion on the mother board and about the cleanliness of the Amiga 2000HD. He also lied about the scratches and chips in the paint.
ECS and KS2.04 were introduced together, so if the guy said the motherboard doesn't have the ECS Denise(and he did), why would it automatically come with KS 2.04??
Because the Rev. 6.2 motherboard IS an ECS board and because it has the 1 Meg Agnus. Also, under close inspection, using a 20X microscope, I found evidence that the original Kickstart ROM was removed and the 1.3 version was put in its place. I could see the pry marks that a screw driver left, that was used to pry up the original chip.
Sounds like Doommaster got some factual information wrong, and then attacked this guy.
I did not get any "factual information" wrong. And I only "attack" people that DESERVE it. :destroy:
-
@Doommaster
Okay, then someone should contact the big book of amiga hardware and tell them their info. is wrong.
EDIT --
Someone should contact these people too..
http://amiga.resource.cx/mod/a2000.html
EDIT--
WOW!!! It's a whole party of people who apparently (according to Doommaster) have their technical info wrong on motherboard revisions of the A2000
http://www.amigau.com/spock/a2000.html
:-D
EDIT--
Wait a minute...here's another one!!!
http://www.titan.co.nz/amigaak/AA060104.htm
DoomMaster, you called this man a thief!!!! Because your motherboard didn't come with Kickstart 2.04, are you quite certain that ALL of these different hardware sites are wrong?? BTW They do concur with your point about the 1 meg Agnus, however, they do still say that there was no ECS Denise, and NO KS 2.04 until revision 6.3
I sure am glad we have such an A2000 expert on board to help us considering every site we have for technical information is wrong.
-
battery leakage corrosion on the mother board
this would indicate it had a clock like my a1500+ i used to have and only the plus versions of the machines had these so i would say a 1.3 rom is wrong and he is very right in saying it should be a 2.04. :-)
-
@Amigamad
you would definitely be correct in this. The thing is, all of the 6.X revision motherboards were being geared to run ECS. But this was not fully implemented until revision 6.3
6.2 removed the ROM tower, and cleared up some bus noise issues, and sported a 1 Meg Agnus, but it did not have KS 2.04, or ECS Denise(which isn't being contested) these things were added in 6.3
-
amigamad wrote:

A1500+ ...?
-
@DoomMaster
Just out of curiousity...(and in no way meant to be inflamatory..just curious as an Ebay buyer on the definitions of quality etc)
The Amiga 2000HD on the pictures looks to be in pretty damn good shape (cosmetically). Was it dirty in a way that the pictures did not show?
Cause if I was judging the condition *just* based on those pics I would have to say it was in very good condition.
-
"Because the Rev. 6.2 motherboard IS an ECS board and because it has the 1 Meg Agnus"
Sorry doomie but the A500's I bought new came with 512k ram and a 1 meg agnus. I did the mb mod later to get 1 meg chip ram with the a501.
Stew
-
A1500+
Yes these were the last of the a1500 with 2.04 rom it had a sticker on mine with comodore 1993 :-)
-
@Amigamad
I missed the '+' sign. (Thanks Punk guy)
BTW, you're aware that the A1500 (not plus) is a rebadged A2000 using extremely late motherboard revisions right? (Apparently post 6.2) All of the A1500's were ECS
:-D
To quote the big book of Amiga hardware...
" The A1500 only ever used the newer A2000 motherboards which contained the ECS Chipset and Kickstart 2.04. "
-

-
@Doomie
It was advertised as a rev 6.2 (if you did your home work you would have known all A2000HD professionals were ocs, the ecs were not advertised as such) which meant ocs. Ecs are toys.
So you won an auction for an "as is A2000" for 27.91 and you expected a new one? Look what Red wants for reconditioned 500's. Get a grip and be a professional.
Stew
-
No offense but that A2000 doesn't look bad (besides being an A2000) for ~$28. If the auction says AS-IS, then it probably means it. You need to grow up a bit.
-
Take into acount that he emailed questions before he bought it and the seller lied to him. :-o
-
amigamad wrote:

If the webpage posted has all the info (which it may not) then I don't think the seller was decieving him. He didn't ask if it had a noisy fan, 2.04 ROMS, cork feet (hmm), missing screws, or a bracket for the RAM card. Funny read none the less.
-
Funny read none the less.
It`s getting better and better (like the old wine I`d say)!
It has to do more with the expectations, and the facts... If you imagine/think that the product should be in certain conditions and turns out to be a bit different, it`s quiet disappointing.
Given the situation (Doomie is a particularly scrupulous person -obsessively?!;-)- ) then I can understand his reaction.

@amiga(ebay)mad
You spend FAR too much time on ebay! :-)
@DoomMaster
Obviously this is my opinion, but instead of going for the Commodore 2030, wouldn't it be better just getting a Blizzard 2030, or even better an 2060! :-) I have owned many Blizzard accelerators for my Amiga 1200 (2 x 1230, 1260 and now a PPC) and they are very good quality boards and well made. Much better designed than the Apollo range in fact.

When it comes to the Amiga 2000 Series of computers I always try to get Commodore cards. Commodore knew their Amiga Flagship computer better then anybody else. The Commodore cards are the best and highest quality boards available for the Amiga 2000. They also are the only boards that AUTO-CONFIG. No drivers or special software is needed. :-D

i hate it when i go to peoples houses and i see them handling harware like crap. It's like 8-) what the hell are you doing, why's it not it and anti-static bag!?!?!?!?! etc...
My desk is covered it anti-static foily stuff, and when you come into the room, you clicp you're wrist anti-statictiser onto the rail which is connected to earth. And also the carpet is not synthetic so.... no chance of anything happenening :-D
though that's in my spare room, nothing like that gonna be in my bedroom. That just keeps all the new amiga's and comps :-D
