AmiKit is a free compilation of more than 300 of the finest Amiga programs (free/shareware). In short, AmiKit is a way to experience a high-end Classic AmigaOS on your Windows system. Now, thanks to AmiKit Live Update feature, the content is updated automatically!
Read the recent change log here (http://amikit.amiga.sk/history.htm).
AmiKit (http://amikit.amiga.sk/) is available as a Windows executable installer and only requires a source of copyright AmigaOS files (eg. AmigaOS3.9 CD) and a kickstart ROM v3.1. The installation process is fully automated. Simply download and install AmiKit 1.2.0 and enjoy the high-end classic Amiga system on your computer. With the Live Update (http://amikit.amiga.sk/liveupdate.htm) feature you always stay up-to-date.
Download the full package (http://amikit.amiga.sk/downloads.htm) - it's free!

Anyone who hasn't tried this yet just doesn't know what they're missing!
It's fantastic!
I would urge everyone to try this - it obviously owes much to AIB - but it is now light years ahead. Especially newbie/rusty Amiga owners - transfer your ROM to your peecee or buy Cloanto Amiga Forever and install this wonder on top! :-D
Yeehaaw!!
-
I couldn't agree more. I have it installed on my laptop and just last night I showed it to a few of my old amiga friends and they were in awe.
-
Anyone else having dl dramas?
-
Yup, this is absolutely sensational - flawless in fact, with updates every few weeks.
Hats off to Jan!

Blimey!

If so - Congratulations and hats off too ya! AIB was the dogs xxx in it's day!
What are you up to in Japan? :-D

Dont get any funny ideas now AMIGAZ :-D
That is way to dark and good looking for your Amiga
-
Wow, that theme looks rather sleek! ;)
I would use a slightly darker colour for the 'selected window fill' pen however, to give a closer match with the bottom of the window title.
Having said that, doing so may ruin the 3D look as you effectively lose your 'shadow' pen. Perhaps a lighter gradient in the window title would be a better choice?
Colin Camper, cheers, thank you for the feedback. Yes, AIAB was reasonably popular a few years ago, but beyond my personal experimental updates (http://amigainabox.co.uk/r10.5/.bleedingedge), I don't really spend much time maintaining the package any more. Regarding your other question, I am currently working for KAWAI.
Take care,
James

Like here. (http://www.five-star.com/stuff/rainbow.jpg)

Looking good Ken! ;)
Actually, I was trying to suggest fading the titlebar gradients from light gray to the dark-gray that is being used for the rest of the window border - so that there is no visible difference in colour.
Gosh, this reminds me of the fun I had in PPaint designing (remaking) the OS4 theme. Going back a couple of years...
Cheers,
James

EDIT: Here you go! (pardon my one minute Photoshop effort)
Unfortunately, as I expected, 'Brown Chrome' doesn't look (nor sound!) quite as snazzy as black.

@AmiKit
Thanks! :-P
Does it by any chance work with the older Morpheuz version?
-
Excellent piece of software.
-

No, you won't find "BlackChrome" button in older MorpheuZ. But you can always grab the latest one from the 1.2.9 update archive here (http://www.amikit.amiga.sk/tips-tricks.htm#livemanual).
-
Excellent update, Jan. Nice new theme, Ken.
I think Mirosoft has made a pirate copy for Vista 8-)

@AmireX
Hi Rex! Nice to see you here! Is that you on the avatar? ;-)
-
Hum,
The servers do NOT support the download resume command...

The servers do NOT support the download resume command...
This one (http://www.amikit.amiga.sk/download/AmiKit_setup120.exe) supports the resume command but was reported to be unstable (temporarily).
While this alternative one (http://is.muni.cz/de/66477/AmiKit/AmiKit_setup120.exe) works fine but doesn't support the resume command.

Just installed it!
Looks great!

I cannot use Simple Mail, it won't load.
I've updated the s/w with the live update feature, starting from 1.2 till 1.2.9 :-?
-
SimpleMail works here without any problems. Try to run SnoopDos first to see what is going on in background and post on AmiKit Support Forum (http://amikit.amiga.sk/forum/index.php) please.
