The Commodore GG is going to put the AmigaOne & AOS4.0 into the spotlights on December the 16th. At their Commodore show in Maarssen Holland AmigaOne enthusiasts are demonstrating their hard and software.
Saturday december 16th there will be a C= show at the Trefpunt, Kerkweg 21, Maarssen, Holland from 10:00 till 16:00. We organize this time a big flee market, there's a C= lottery and a tinker corner. Also there will be a bunch of AmigaOne and OS4.0 users present. They will show there newest features and demonstrate the AmigaOne with their latest OS4.0. We will create a Christmas atmosphere and we ask all visitors to show up with a little table Christmas tree.

Kind of a stretch, isn't it? What do either the AmigaOne or OS4 have to do with Commodore?

@jorkany
Roots. Some parts of OS4 (which runs on AmigaOne only) were first created by Commodore-Amiga software engineers. :-)

I've been out of the loop for a full week. What's an AmigaOne?

But basically, Eyetech licensed some PPC hardware designs from MAI logic and relabelled them AmigaOneSE, AmigaOneXE, MicroA1.. They have 800mhz g3/g4's, sdram, agp, pci, ATX and Mini ITX formfactors. They havent been on sale for years now though. They're the only computers that run AmigaOS4 right now.

How utterly pointless.
You can't buy OS4.0 or an AmigaOne for love or money, they are not made anymore.
There isn't even an AmigaOne emulator.
So what's the point of getting people interested in it if it's unavailable anyway?

If I say "what's the point" will anyone listen? Truth is, it's a dead-end. The potential was wasted with the forking of efforts years ago, and egos continue to fuel the fire. While the potential to correct this is there, the need to catch up is so great, I feel that the platform is, for all intents and purposes, dead.
