Gary Peake, who worked for Amiga Inc. and worked with Amiga developers under Bill McEwen, has passed away this week after a hard struggle with cancer. Those close to him say he put up a good fight, and that he would want all of his friends to know how very much they meant to him.
Gary was known in the Amiga world as a founding member of Team AMIGA with Rick Lembree. He also worked for Amiga Inc for a while in the hope to help bring the Amiga back. He was diagnosed with metastasized lung cancer and a brain tumor a few months ago.
For an interview with Gary please download Total Amiga (http://www.totalamiga.org/pdf/totalamiga_1.pdf)
This (http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?mode=viewtopic&topic_id=21189&forum=2&start=0&viewmode=flat&order=0) thread is forwarded to his family so they know how well known and loved Gary was by many.
Rest in peace Gary. Thank you for all you did.

I'm shocked by this sad event :( It' some months I don't get TeamAmiga anymore....
My condolescences to his family.
It would be a great idea to dedicate OS4 to him, after all his work he did in many years that he will not see finished...

Firstly, why is Cancer so prevelent these days? what are we putting in our foods, why is 1 in ever 3 Australians now touched by this disease? It has become the black plague of the 90s and is only getting worse every year. I have lost too many friends and relatives from this terrible, terrible disease. Benzine in unleaded fuel?? MSG AKA-Flavour ehancer 621, 624 ??
I hate Cancer!
Let me offer my deepest sympathys to his family, I understand their loss, I have also lost family from this dreaded disease. Let's hope they DO something about it.
