AmiRevival, the Amiga event to watch this July, will soon be upon us so now is the time to book tickets and exhibitor tables. The event promises to be a success with the likes of Mindspace (UML diagram software for OS4 and soon OS3.x) and other exhibitors attending, providing a large amount of interest.
In order to make this event the success it deserves to be we need your feedback and support. We are looking to provide something for everyone from the new user to the old, classic to next generation. To help us in this goal we would gladly welcome exhibitors from the Pegasos / MorphOS side as well as those from AROS and the Amiga communities. The Amiga community has always been one of friendly support and a cheerful and we want to rekindle that spirit.
We are also looking for more exhibitors to attend the event, helping in its success. If you feel you could exhibit, be that as a trader, usergroup or an individual we would like to hear from you. See the official Amirevival website for more exhibitor information. We will welcome all exhibitors so long as what your exhibit is related to the Amiga or Amiga-like systems (including Amiga emulation, AROS and MorphOS).
If you have a new product that you want to release in style, AmiRevival would be a good place to do this. With eyes on this event and all the after event reports this could be a great marketing opportunity. Yoodoo2, one of the authors of Mindspace, plans to attend and will be launching version 1 of his very useful product on the day of the show - why not join him?
Various user groups from around the UK will also be exhibiting the likes of SEAL, the authors of Total Amiga, will be attending the show with other usergroups including AmiSEK; the only user group in the South East of England.
PegXMac, the software allowing you to run MacOS on your AmigaOne, will also be available on the AmiSEK stand to try and we are hoping to have the latest version available to demonstrate at the event - its first public demonstration.
To book tickets, exhibitor space or just to find out more information visit the official AmiRevival website (http://www.amirevival.com).

Uh, I'm not sure that SEAL would necessarily agree with you about the south-east england part. ;-)

Isn't this a little contradictory to the statement made by Ryu on AW.net?
Ryu wrote:
I and other friends of mine have spent the last few weeks chasing exhibitors but many people we have tried to contact have chosed to ignore us, which hasn't exactly been encouraging so it is as follows: If we don't see a rapid incrase in interest for the show by both exhibitors and visitors by this coming sunday the show will be cancelled.
-
Ryu has said to me that there are a lot of exhibitors who say that want to come, they just dont want it made official until later in case they have to pull out.
That said he does need more!
So A.org, how about a stand? ;-)
Oliver Hannaford-Day
AmiRevival Stand holder :)

@Oli
Anything to show us on the ColdFire front?
A lot of people here would be very interested ;)

Who cares? The chances that anything useful will come out of his project are equal to 0.0001%.
On the other hand, Adam promised to show a "fully-licensed high-end board running OS4" at AmigaRevival. I am sure he will fail just for another time. :roll:

@oli_hd
And if they don't come we will never know !! It's hardly expensive either for an exhibitor.
We don't want a situation like BB3 where Troika promised but never delivered however it's strange that say Amigakit are not on the list when this would be an ideal situation as these gatherings don't take place that often.
I do however wish you well with your project.

Blimey. You're a miserable, rude git aren't you?
As it was I who asked, it's fairly safe to say that I care. And I'm not particularly worried whether an end product is released or not. This is a hobby and it's nice to talk about your hobby with other people, especially those who've tried something a bit different. Unless you have no basic social manners of course.

The exhibitors list is out of date.
AmigaKit should be there.

Only the names are changing. This time it is ACK who announced and who will fail to show what was promised.
Heck, Troika won't even manage to show us something a whole year after BB3.

@uncharted
True, how could I miss that.
"South Essex Amiga Link"
Shows how bad my geography is!
@Seal - sorry
-
@yoodoo
They certainly hope to be.
@all
Until I get definate confirmation I can't update the exhibitors list
@Pesimistic people
Thanks, please make constructive comments or none at all - pesimism really doesn' help.

A new prototype is being printed as we speak which will be ready to show. :-D
-
So a large amount of interest is being provided by the likes of Mindspace and other exhibitors, or are they they things in which a large amount of interest is being shown?
-
@ GiGa
3cag will be present.
:-)
-
@humppa :whack:
You are certainly an insensitive clod. It is one thing to be cynical, but I think you have stepped over the line way too often. If you have nothing constructive to say, why post at all.
@GiGa, Ryu and Yoodoo
I hope the show is a success. If I lived closer, I would attend.

Just telling the truth (which can be harsh at times I know...). If there is a lack of interest, people just ask themselves why that is. The main reason is clearly the lack of hardware. If Adam would fulfill his promise and present either the PV LT or PV TL at the show, I am sure the show would be "packed". The lack of hardware is also one of the main reasons why BB4 is delayed. Absolutely understandable.
-
Humppa, there is a world of difference between being truthful and being a {bleep}.

@all
I have updated the AmiRevival website to reflect the new exhibitors and additional confirmations - keep 'em coming guys, we can save this show!
I'd like to highlight the fact that Oliver Hannaford-Day will be exhibitng his latest coldfire prototype board at the show and that MindSpace version 1 will be released with discounts for every visitor.
Hope to see you all there.
