Title: BreakPoint '06 Results
Post by: dillinger on April 18, 2006, 12:37:55 AM
This year's BreakPoint 2006 has ended with some very nice Amiga demo and intro releases! Of particular note are the two demos by Epidrena and also IRIS.

Competition results and actual releases can be found here: http://breakpoint.untergrund.net/after.php

Amiga Forever!

Nice with new demos! I wish though that they would list the requirements for running this said demos/intros, so i wont waste time downloading and trying to run something that dosent run on my system.

Check out the amiga 64k introcompo winner. It's 4k intro from Loonies (the 4k compo was cancelled so the entry competed in 64k).

I have to admit this must be one of the most amazing 4k intros I've seen. Really impressive.

All Amiga releases were 68k so a 060 would recomended :)

My favourites: Iris -Kilofix, RNO - Armpit and Loonies :)

Piru, yes it was a great tribute   and amaazing for only 4k! Some of it I didnt quite get because I missed Potion. (no PPC)

Krize...there were one or two from the compo that'll run on a 68000...but, yes, very few these days run on <060k and more and more could do with >060+...like Ephidrena's release ;)

The productions were insane this year. Software pixel shading on the Amiga!? My prefered one is Ephidrena's Lux, it's quite simply fantastic and the boys have gone a long way in terms of overall design. Although Kilofix and Requiem certainly didn't lack of technical brilliance.
