Post by: System on April 02, 2006, 03:29:12 PM
"From the people who brought you Anachronism Industries..."

That's right...  Our friend Redrumloa is back with a brand new online store and product line.

Drop by and have a look (http://secure.cartsvr.net/catalogs/store.asp?pid=185337&catid=30458)

I'm just a squirrel trying to get a nut ;-)

or a nut trying to get a squirrel, we're never quite sure of that. :)

This should be just a start. Down the road I'll probably be adding more products, hopefully even adding retro (C= 8bit) items once again.

G'day Red, even if it's either a squirrel or a nut, just thought I'd point out that your opening page has a wee boo-boo.... or at least I THINK it's a boo-boo(maybe in your divine squirreldom you meant it that way) - i.e. "grab a COP of joe". A wee typo methinks, unless you were extra squirrely at the time.  :-D

@Canfod

Whoops! Don't ask me how that happened, unless I had too much joe;-) Thanks for the correction :-D

@Canfod

Should be "cop a cup of joe?"

@Red... Where's the beef(Amiga)?

While I understand and respect the question, it's been an awful long time since the Amiga has been considered "beef".  Perhaps I'd go with Spam, or even "Treet" (a less salty competitor of Spam) but we never got the Amiga out of the deep freeze this decade.  We simply have to worry now about freezer burn...

@yogisumo

Not much beef out there for the Amiga market. That said, I think Amiga Kit is doing a pretty good job. I'd like to add some retro products in the near future, but beyond Individual Computers there isn't much out there :-/ We'll see what the future holds, with luck products will come.

@AMIGAZ

Back in busines more like it, thanks for the greetz:-)

@Effy

How'd those Prommies work out for ya?

Must be conditioning.  Everytime I hear or see the word Amiga I salivate.  Just like when I'm about to bite into a juicy burger made from a big honkin' mess of North American beef....

So, when you sold all of that old Amiga/C=64 stuff way back when, it was just to clear out enough warehouses to have room for all these products? :^)

Where's the Tofu?  :-o

To help promote the new store I propose that a sandwich be added to the catalog.
The Transistor Burger.

It would have a thick, juicy Ground Squirrel Patty, covered with deep fried slice of tofu, in a big toasted bun.  Included is Transistors in a blender sauce and a side of cheese covered spam fries.

Btw, Smiley icons rock!!!

Nice so see you're still in business. Just a suggestion, I think the opening page should give an idea of what the store is all about, given the name it seems like an electronic components store.

As for the Amiga, why not ? It was suicidal to have an Amiga only store but this is different. while AmigaKit seems to be doing a great job it's in Europe. I don't know how Amiga US webstores are doing, but I remember people liked you previous Amiga store (or maybe the final liquidation sales :-) )

Shameless plug (http://www.tanooshka.com)

Red, your site looks horrible....almost as if you've just filled up some out of the box website with a bunch of products that you don't really carry yourself, but got out of some Amway catalog.

I especially liked the part about "to fill the void left by our countless incompetent competitors"

oh yeah, that made you sound real trustworthy....NOT

Now, I know by reputation you are a trustworthy person, but I would have thought, by that statement that you were a real clown...if I didn't know better.

the reason I left a shameless plug for my own website... the truth is the amiga crowd isn't interested, much, in my products....but in fairness, if someone wants to trash the look of my website...it would only be fair. :horse:

Excellent!  Your still in business.  Can't wait for you to start selling more 8 bit C= stuff.

Hang in there.

@MarkTime

Hi, I love you too! ;-) I guess you missed the "pardon the dust". As for the about us page, it was a joke that only you seem to miss, Whyzzat(http://www.whyzzat.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_question.gif)

It is what it is, it will get cleaned up as time permits.

Good selection, but with so many products listed, it sure does beg for a site engine that can handle 'sort by price' and searches.

I'm in the process of acquiring some miscellaneous junk lately, and I'll see if I can throw some business your way.  If you're getting into the whole ovarclockar/glowy-stuff/quiet-PC product lines, one thing you might want to look into are the Sharkoon 'Golf Ball' fans (http://sharkoon.com/all_eng.htm), which seem neat and remain somewhat rare to come by.
