The site's transition to a larger, more capable server was completed this morning. Please PM me if you see anything out of place.

Hi guys,
Got a note this morning from the great guys at planetxoops.com. Apparently for whatever reason, Amiga.org is still steadily growing, which is a great thing. In fact, the few recent outages we've experienced are because (in the words of the guys there), "Amiga.org has simply outgrown the server it's on and is pushing between 60 and 70 Gb of data every month".
Therefore, hopefully next week (Thursday/Friday), they plan on installing a new "more manly" server and moving us up to it. As a result, expect to see some downtime on Thursday and Friday as both the site and the IP moves to a new one.
Our costs will naturally go up a bit, but thanks in HUGE part to all our great site visitors who've supported Amiga.org this year, we'll do just fine...
I'd like to sincerely, and humbly thank all of you who've donated and otherwise supported Amiga.org throughout the years. Without you, Amiga.org would simply not be possible.

Of course, without the (in)famous "potential PPC Amiga REAL CHEAP" thread, this server upgrade wouldn't be needed.
:lol: :lol: :lol:

Hehe! That thread is now an A.Org legend!

Nah, it was the "cartoons" (pbuh) threads that brought in all the interlopers.. ;-)

Are you forgeting the, currently 25 page, "Amiga in an FPGA : Minimig" topic?

@Argo

IMHO Doomie is the man behind a.org success.
His threads about military spec A2000 were 900% popular :crazy:
