If the chip is able to run at 933 and was downscaled intentionally to 800, don't you think it's safer to leave it as it is?

Anyway, what would you be gaining? An 800MHz G4 is enormously more than enough for any app or game you'll be running in the foreseeable future.

My G3 750FX is rated 800 and runs at 933 OK.
1Mhz is acheivable as well as its documented how to get this on the G3's.
Helgis has a G3 clocked to 933Mhz as well.
I suggest you ask your dealer about a cpu module upgrade. Or ask to be signed upto the dev-list, or the Amiga one owner forum at AW.net.
Lots of discussion going on about the newer G4 modules there.

Pegasos 2 G4 runs at 1000mhz (1GHZ) and costs much less, you should look into it! :)

Thats lovely, but the thread is about how the bloke can get his 800Mhz A1 to run at 933 Mhz.
Besides Peg2 until it ships is still vapour ware.

Funny you just saw someone else get moderated for
doing that Meerschaum and even commented on his
thread that he started.

You can get Athlon XP2600 and up for cheaper than a
Pegasos 2 and its much faster.

It is your kind of trolling, with no real context ( the guy already
has the XE ) that makes Amiga.org a tough place to bother
coming and reading.

Because someone crossposted pointing out moderation on
Amiga.org.

AmigaWorld.net thread crossposting to Amiga.org (http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=1774&forum=4)

However, if you want a detailed resume of my Amiga.org posting
and non posting, you might want to check out

@meerschaum

Not something I have ever claimed. If you have a personal problem with me and me posting somewhere then click on Email or PM.

I just found it amusing that you read what another guy had been moderated for and then repeated it deliberatly.

Yeah, but without a license to run OS4, there's not much of a point, even if it cost only $1.  Get that license and give us a reason to want to look into it.  Without that, it's not an option for the rest of us, just another PPC motherboard.  And as Dave pointed out, the guy already has an AmigaOne... no need to even mention the other hardware.

At the risk of taking this further off topic, ultra-trolling should be trolling that is so hard to moderate the mere act of moderation causes a flamewar. The readers should find it hard to tell wether the ultra-troll is serious or not. The ultra-troll should be always polite, civil, and be close to a topic ( say MHz being the only thing in connection or a keyword word like "motherboard" ) but still completely off topic and designed to annoy.

Or maybe that is stealth-troll?

;-)
