Post by: Dennis on February 05, 2006, 09:07:09 PM
On Saturday February the 18th, there will be a meeting of the dutch HCC Commodore user group in Maarssen. During the meeting, there will be a demonstration of the 'Minimig' Amiga in an FPGA prototype.

The demonstration will begin at around 11:00. For more information about the meeting see HCC meeting (http://commodore-gg.hobby.nl/feb18.htm). For more information about Minimig see this thread (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=19361) and these photos (http://www.amiga.org/gallery/index.php?u=3556).

Hardware hackings are freaking awesome.  It would be very cool if Dennis and Mike manage to come up with something tres cool.

It'd be interesting if this miniature Amiga motherboard was combined with the floppy emulator on one of the threads (The MMC flash card with a Nokia screen).

Maybe an Amiga handheld is possible now, let alone a low power laptop!

Kudos Dennis for going through your awesome project in spite of the sad nay-sayers. Now they know better ;)

Kaminari , anyone that decides to step forward with any type of new technology for Amiga nowadays should expect that.  Amiga is like the land of vaporware.  Too many empty hopes and too many false promises.  People get jaded after awhile.
