The first important step with the porting of the MIDI sequencer BarsnPipes on Amiga OS 4 is achieved - the program starts. The author would like to show the two screenshots as evidence that a successful port is now very probable:

The pictograms for the graphic user interface are loaded using datatypes i.e. they can be changed by the user.

More brilliant audio news.
I've been using Alfred's version of this on MOS and it works a treat.
The same thing on OS4 would be fantastic and I'd be able to swap files between the two machines.
Excellent! :pint:

Looks very retro, this is awsome!

Well, it's pretty much the same GUI it's had for years.
The main thing is that it's by far the best midi prog. I've used and I'm glad to see it being ported to OS4.
I already have it on MOS and it works beautifully.

I thought Microsoft bought out the rights to Bars 'N Pipes years ago and buried them somewhere. Did that change?
-
Ya... I just kind of expected it to have an updated look for an updated OS, but no go, retro all the way! :)

I think that as part of the agreement they had to let the source code for the Amiga version go
:-D some one will correct me if I'm wrong or give more details
