Post by: lionstorm on October 17, 2003, 01:20:26 PM
Hi all,
Can that work ? My ground of this is playing ko2 online but I dont have windows installed pc, only linux.
I also planned to play older pc games like strike commander or the clue. Would they work under wine ?

Wy not use UAE for Linux? If its because of the lack of network support there is a patch on http://www.freiburg.linux.de/~uae/#patches that ads bsdsocket support.

WinUAE is far superior to Linux UAE... and I run the latest WinUAE fine on the latest snapshot of Wine, on SuSE 8.2...

It really runs a treat, much to my surprise.

Yep, WinUAE is far, far superior. I don't see why it wouldn't be feasible to try WinUAE on wine, myself - but I don't know what the speed would be like.

Thanks a lot for your answers, at least it should work. Not sure if my 2 pcs are strong enough ! (pentium 200mhz, P3 550Mhz).
