As of today, the sources to Mediapoint are no longer available to the public. Projects involving the use of the sources that are announced to us (including detailed description) before the end of this month, will be evaluated and may be approved for use.
After september 1st 2005, all non-approved use of Mediapoint sources and executables will be prohibited.
Best regards,
Computer City

None of this affects me in any way, buy do I understand this right: you are changing the licensing restrospectively?!?
-
oh no not here as well! :-)
It's quite simple: we made it available for download in the past, but not anymore. So for some time Mediapoint was available for free, but not anymore.
There was no official licensing terms, source was only downloaded like 7 times.
For a more extensive discussion on the subject see amigaworld.net... :-)

My apologies. I don't visit said place very often so anything discussed there is likely to be unknown to me.
I won't bother with any further comment then, except to say that generally speaking it's an unusual way to go about doing things, hence my question.

@bhoggett
no need to apologize, mate :-)
I know it's an usual thing, but we suddenly have come across a commercially interesting purpose for mediapoint. One that we can't really deploy when the sources can be downloaded easily. We have to protect our interest, that's what it is all about.
For Amiga users who missed Mediapoint, it will be available for free on one of the upcoming AmigaFuture CD's.

Seems to me that the genie is already out of the bottle.
Anyway what is Mediapoint and what is your site address and what's the URL for the mediapoint page?
