Celebrating the 6th anniversary of MorphOS, version 1.4.4 is now available. This is hopefully the last bugfix update before the next full release, and solves many bugs and problems with the previous releases.
Please note that the update is currently only available to users who have registered themselves. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the MorphOS support site is currently down. Users who have not yet registered will have to wait for a few days while a new registration system is prepared. A new announcement will be made when it is ready. The support mailinglist will also be restored shortly, please have some patience.
Fixes in the 1.4.4 release include support for large harddrives, ability to read DVDs in their entirety, important bug fixes to SFS, audio, 68k emulation, network card drivers and many other things. See releasenotes for more information.

asked to remove, sorry.

Funny, people have said the same thing about OS4. They both seem pretty alive to me.

Tagging on to Robert17:
Yeah, most definitely. Without desiring to see another flamewar erupt: does anyone know what happened behind the scenes?
-
What happened behind the scenes doesnt matter nor does it need to be posted here. 1.4.4 is out and thats all that matters. Anything remotely sounding like flame bait gets deleted.

Though I've never gotten to use Morph OS I've always have had a hankerin to get my hands on it and try it out. I have heard it can play classic Amiga apps pretty well. Is this true?
