Christian Effenberger, an author of ViCaDo, AiCaDo and DiCaDo, made new piece of good soft. Although it's in alpha state, it has a lots of capabilities, and a big potential.
It's freeware, and it's available here: http://www.netzgesta.de/projects/cdonfire.htm .
-
I try...its good ..and have good look!!
-
That has to be one of the most professional looking "freeware" sites I have ever seen!
In addition, there's a suite of software for VideoCD & sound editing software. Sort of iMovie for the Amiga!
Very impressive -- I downloaded the software and will definitely try it out in the next few days!
-
it looks AMAZING!
-
lol the first second I read "coldfire" and thought the dragon was releaed ;-) anyway great to see new software for the amiga.. lets hope it will support dvd writing in future versions..
-
Hum,
impressive.
(from first impression)
-
Does not work with MorphOS... I didn't get any of their products to work on a A1200 OS3.9 either.. Shame, cos those look nice.
-
I wonder what form of Bribery it would take for him to consider porting some of his apps to Aros.....one can dream can't they.....

@Motosampy
Does your 1200 meet the miniumum specs? (3.1, 16 megs, 1.5 gigs free)
If it does, then you should e-mail him with your problems, as he is actively looking for feedback.
-
I haven't had a chance to try this software yet, but wow the screen shots for this software look great! If you could combine this interface with the functionality of MakeCD, it would be a perfect program!
-
@klesterjr
My A1200 is already buried.... :( (It did meet the min specs tho)
-
Does not work with MorphOS
yeah, it needs OS3.9 files, but maybe it would work on a peg that emulated workbench!
a how-to doc (http://www.elena-fractals.it/Downloads/AmiWBOnPegasos.lha)
there's definitly something wrong with the file ImageEditor.lha
seems to be missing alot of it's files.

nice Gui indeed :-)
Someone has managed to see CDonFire working?
Here when i attempt to read the "CD Read-Device" infos, an error window shows up claiming:
Error on Reading
3CaDo/dvdrecord
The CDROM its a LG 52X (GCR-8521B rev 1.02)
No problem reading the infos of the "CD Write-Device". (Teac CD-W540E rev 1.0F)
EDIT- forgot the config:
OS3.9BB2-CSPPC+060-full RAM
-
thanx for this major package, hoping for support for the nextgen AmigaOS and clones too.
-
i tried to run this on my WinUAE and the gui doesn't even come up.
i have OS3.9, powericons running (altho regular icons show up just fine and i have plenty of those).
not sure what the problem is. i've got the libs.
darn! :-(

Does not work with MorphOS
This software use the cando.library. It's a very old stuff, isn't it?
I guess it must hit the amiga hardware..
It certainly works on MorphOS but running on Amiga hardware.
Bye
-
and something use ixemul too.
-
Very nice!
-
Works quite nice here, but dosn't like one of my
cd drives (Pioneer), works ace with Yamaha RW
Wol. :-D
-
but the GUI looks REAAAALY HORRIBLE, you have to admit, what's going on with Amiga programmers, have they lost aestetic feeling?
-
if it worked on emulations, i wouldn't care. anyway, what i've seen of it looks ok. i mean, the GUI looks clear and uncluttered (at least judging from screenshots, which is all i can see at the moment, unfortunately) :-(
