I am happy to (again) announce an update to the Remote Desktop client for OS4! As a bonus for OS4 users, we are proud to offer a full GUI for the client! Thanks to Simon Archer, Toaks, and restore2003 for all of their hard work and dedication to make this happen!
68K users: There is no need for you to download any update - the update is for OS4 users only! Time for you to upgrade ! :)
You may download the the full archive for OS4 including the Remote Desktop binary (OS4 native), GUI, and documentation from the Remote Desktop Support Site for AmigaOS here: http://www.ody.ca/~develand/rdesktop/rdesktop.htm
Screenshots of the GUI are here:

Great work! It looks pretty good! Is there a chance for a 68K (classic amiga) GUI?
Cheers!
-
No, I'm afraid not. The GUI relies heavily on OS4s Reaction classes, so a straight back port to 68K AmigaOS is not possible.
Sorry.
It's another excuse to get OS4 though I guess :)
-
Sad... well, there's an A4K CSPPC and an A1200T with BPPC too waiting for OS 4.. no A1 here yet. Let's wait for "when it's done" hehe

Great GUI, finally nice looking apps for Amiga (I love the fonts -even different colors-, gadgets, and all the rest!).

I see Buttons, things that can be choosen, "a line that can be added" for a prog to startup...
I got lost when someone mentioned the GUI depends "heavily" on OS4?
-
He didn't say it depended on OS4, but on ReAction classes in OS4. ReAction is quite different in OS4, you know.
-
That's why I only quoted "heavily" ;-)
-
There's a 68k GUI available now here (http://rdmui.amigazeux.net/)!

I knew it! Great ;-) Now to find a Win XP Pro box somewhere :-D
