Title: Whole lot of PPCs up in the sky
Post by: peroxidechicken on September 29, 2004, 08:17:52 PM
It's all for the sake of entertainment on a very big plane.

The Inquirer (http://theinquirer.net/?article=18697) has more.

Hi
IMO the device is waste of fuel, energy and will increase the price of tickets, especially for short range flight, less than 6 hours.

Is it possible that in the future, a hacker may attack the system by running certain programs for increasing the CPU temperature, and eventually burn the plane?

@asian1:
Well, the A380 is only aimed at long distance flights. I.e. connecting the main hubs of the continents. For more local routes, you're most likely going to be sitting in a Boeing Dreamliner in the near future.
