Now if you could only find some NOS A1200s or A4000s. :-)
-
I was under the impression that various retailers still had A1200 Magic Packs available. I'd love to see NOS big-box Amigas, but I suppose that's not likely :-(

or even A3000s
-
Only if a forgotten storage building would be dicovered :-(

Very unlikely. My find of A500s were likely original intended for export to South America. Big Box Amigas wouldn't have been a big export item. :-(
-Edit- Yaaaaa Dolphins :-D
-
Here's a picture of it being tested right after I changed the rom.

What exactly is a refurbished Amiga? Is it the electronis that was used or are mechanical parts like the keyboad and the drive used, too, and only the plastic shell is new? Or was the case used, too?
I read the ebay description and it says packaged as new but it's unclear to me if packaged refers to the computer itself or just the cardboard and shrinkwrap and mouse?

When Commodore got Amigas that were returned as faulty they would repair whatever was faulty (if there was a legitimate problem) and then stamp refurbished on the bottom of the case. Then they would take the Amiga, put it in a new box with new mouse, power supply, books etc. The only thing to distinguish a refurbished model from a new one is the refurbished stamp.
-Edit- Basically everything is new but the motherboard.

About two years ago I got twoA2000HD system new and sealed for only $75 each from a video production place in Florida. It was awsome. There is a chance some are out there in a storage some place. You never can tell.

Heck, you couldn't expect me to keep waiting forever, you know... Have to keep adding to the collection now and then. (Actually, now I might need to run a few auctions to thin the weaker machines out of my herd. ;-) )
