Title: OS4 PRE-RELEASE DEMO IN QUEENS, NY

COME AND SEE IT! WE'RE NOT KIDDING!

At the June Meeting of the Queens Amiga Users Group this Saturday, the 12th, at 10:00 am. See the installation of one of those marvelous-looking CDs you've seen being prepped for shipping from Hyperion's agent in Europe. Be ready to be amazed and gratified as we see how the long-awaited, eagerly-anticipated OS4 pre-release version gets put through its paces on an early-bird machine that has lain idle and waiting for far too long.

As usual the meeting will be in Ridgewood, NY at the QAUG president's residence and will run to 1:00 pm as usual. The customary refreshments will be forthcoming and the range of sights and sounds being prepared on various machines and OSs will delight and amaze all who are fortunate to be there. Hmm...  According to Yahoo maps, that's 604.4 miles from my place to the meeting.  Almost a tempting weekend trip.  Too bad the meeting is early on Saturday.  I'd have to leave Friday and drive through the night.  :-(  Oh well.  Good luck with the demo!  Maybe OS4 will make it to Michigan someday.  ;-)

Its to bad that I live way over on the other side of the country. I'm sure I will see my fair share of A1 systems with OS4 Pre at Amiwest this year though.

No Amiwest for me I'm afraid. BUT I'll be at the QAUG Meeting and I will be showing a Pegasos 2 in a "VCR" Case running Yellow Dog Linux and Debian with the 2.6.4 linux kernel and Morphos 1.4.2 as well! And this will be hooked up to Lou's nice big screen TV and Surround Sound system!  So, you are in for a double treat!

 Come on out of the woodwork NYC Amiga people! Lou vidal always puts on a nice meeting at his apartment and studio and refreshements are FREE!

I will be there with AMIGA SOFTWARE GIVEAWAYS!

TIME CORRECTION:

You dont have to be there @ 10am of course - come if you can when you can - we usually run late until 4pm or later (depends on whats going on) This meeting will be actionpacked!

Hi Joe.  Atlanta is not far from Charlotte, NC.  We will be holding our OS4 Demo this weekend as well.  10am - 3pm.  You are welcome to drive up and join our group meeting.
