Title: A4091 Problem
Post by: adolescent on October 10, 2003, 07:48:42 PM
I just got a DKB 4091 and installed it into my A4000D/040 (Buster 11).  The board is recognized but when running HDToolbox (using 2nd.scsi.device) or the HD partitioning program from the installation floppy I get an hour glass.  I've tried with and without hard drives and get the same result.

Any ideas?  I do not have the manual so I don't know if anything has to be changed on the A4000 motherboard.

More info.  I'm running a fresh install of OS 3.9 on a 8GB IDE boot drive.

When did you get the hour glass? I had the same problem when doing a fresh install of my 8 gig IDE drive. That was when i tried to partition the drive. Then I choose install drive, and everything went just fine.

I got it imediately after selecting the device driver.  Or when launching the DKB utility.  I assume it's doing a SCSI bus scan.
