wish i could have got the time off of work to go hope another one can be arranged some time next year. :-)
-
@amigamad:
I still say pull a sicky :-) I've even thought up a good excuse; you could tell your boss that you've just given birth to a nice healthy baby... im sure they will understand ;-)
-
Think Bill Mueller would come to a show if he was invited?
-
I shall be there, (barring alien abduction) as well as 2 of my friends who know nothing of the Amiga. I guess they will be the acid test to find out what "normal" people think! :-)
-
I can't go!! :-x :-x :-x
My office Xmas party is on the same day, which would mean I'd have to drive from the show for 3 hours back home (passing London on the way), then catch a train back into London and party til the wee hours.
I've been double booked all through December this year. Next year I'm not agreeing to anything until the day it's happening. :-D
Hope the shows great and I expect a full report on here by Sunday morning!! :-P

@Crumpster:
It's just a matter of balance. Months ago, me and loads of mates booked in for a Christmas meal at a rather nice local hotel for Saturday evening. This unfortunately will mean leaving mid-afternoon from the show in order to make it back to the Midlands in time.
.... ponders this ....
Actually, you're right - everything should be planned last minute ;-)

I dont know if im going anymore now :-( Cyka_delik aka cyka isnt going now apparently, and he was coming with me and slackbladder aka Nick... problem arrises that cyka was the one who had booked and payed for the beds aswell as sharing in the petrol costs. Without him costs have suddenly gone up so I just dont know at the moment :-( Im really angry at him too, he had made a commitment and how hes dropping out at the last minute, letting both me and nick down.

Perhaps we can have a collection at the show, for those who would otherwise end up on the streets?
[edit] by that I mean chip in and help people like Ryu out [/edit]

ryu:DOH!.....damn that must SUCK bigtime ;(

With Events like this maybe they should run for a couple of days, and then the organisers can book up a hotel, and get a special discount for volume booking.
I can't make it, it's much too far away from London. But I wish you all a good time, and hope that it isn't clouded by events on the 12th.
-
So how many people are actually going?
Count me + 2 others.
-
there is a link on the site where u register if u are going.
so i spose its as many people have registered plus a handful of others.

So far 170 have shown an interest, not a lot by yesteryear shows but still a fairly decent croud imo.
And I am still going, and I still have somewhere to sleep :-)
See you guys there.

I'll be the one looking lost an bewildered, and a bit crazy. (e.g. a care in the community type person :-D)
