Title: ShoutCast-Server for Amiga
Post by: selco on December 01, 2003, 09:27:19 AM
The first(?) shoutcast streaming solution for Amiga is now available for download. Audio can streamed directly from the soundcard (AHI-device). Lame is used to encode the MP3 stream. (a PPC equipped Amiga is needed to do the MP3 encoding in realtime). Now you can setup your own Amiga based Internet Radio station. Furthermore its possible to stream pre-encoded files from a given directory. This is possible without a PPC. Last but not least you can "Rebroadcast" other stations and save ("rip") streams to harddisk. Please find the files and a detailed description at http://selo.da.ru (http://selo.da.ru).
