Nova Design, Inc. is pleased to announce that our award-winning package, ImageFX, is now available for Pegasos/MorphOS owners in a special lite-edition as part of the SuperBundle package from Genesi.
This version was especially created for MorphOS and includes full color icons and other special features for this release. It comes with PowerPC enabled effects and JPEG loader/savers. It also includes the first release of Lightning for PowerPC as well!
If you already own the complete version of ImageFX, the SuperBundle package also includes the PowerStation modules (including the new Lightning) for MorphOS as well.
Users who find themselves wanting the advanced morphing, animation and keyframing features (and more) of the full ImageFX 4.5 package can upgrade for only $99.95 plus shipping and handling! An amazing bargain.
To download visit The SuperBundle Download Page (http://de1.mirrors.pegasosppc.com/superbundle/) or to find out more information about Nova Design, Inc. products visit their website at www.novadesign.com (http://www.novadesign.com/).
The files are named ImageFX_Lite.lha and PowerStation.lha.
If you still do not have your SuperBundle account, you can still sign up at MorphOS.net (http://www.morphos.net/software_bundle.php).

Fantastic news! I don't know about you, but ImageFX rocks in my opinion!
-
Excellent news - I'm gonna download it now.
Cheers people! :pint:
-
Oops - can't find my Superbundle no.
Can you remind me how I find it out again?
Cheers,
robert.

Wilse: Check your Emails. IIRC ID+password was send on Email after registration for bundle.
With this one added to my collection I'm soon having problem on choosing with these paint/image editing programs.
And thanks for Geensi people for making new Superbundle DL site. This one feels a lot faster than previous.. Or perhaps I was just lucky to get there before major rush.. :-D
-
@Joanna:
I found it - I put the e-mail in different folder from my other
peg/morph mails.
My mistake! Cheers.

Congrats Nova Design and Genesi
Another feather in the cap! Its amazing the amount of FREE SOFTWARE you get when you order a Pegasos computer! ImageFX Lite is not so light - its very usable - its pretty much IFX 3.3 with Power Station modules for PPC MOS without the animation/extras... Fastest Jpeg loading and saving I've ever seen on a gfx package! WOOOHOO

Yummmy! :-) /me like like hell :-)

Do Pegasos owners actually have to buy any software? It appears that everything you would ever need is in the SuperBundle.

Thera is no irc-client, nor anykind of musiccomposing software, at least not for MorphOS (yet :-D )
-
chris: not all.. Yet :-)
Firstly.. Full versions of those paint programs have more features than Lite one.. and there are still alot of interesting stuff not in package.
Like. Amirc, FroggerNG, Hollywood, ArtEffect, Knights & Merchants, Foundation... (= things I have purchased on last couple months)
At top of my current list of purchases are Ibrowse and some usable Wordprocessor/Spreadsheet programs as soon as I can be sure they indeed work cleanly on this machine.

Don't forget, as we can, more and more software will be added to the Super Bundle. That -- in fact -- is the concept behind it. It's not just strictly software either. I can tell you that we are working towards putting a huge stock photograph collection (3000 images or so) in the bundle as well.
-
The SuperBundle is a very good thing to be involved with. Honestly there are very few resources for promoting Amiga software any longer and bundles have always been a good thing.
ImageFX was bundled in some European Amiga 4000 packages under Commodore even! This current bundle is a similar deal to what we did then - you're getting a very functional ImageFX - but it lacks the coolest features of the newest release and you're encouraged to upgrade.
Purchasers of the Pegasos/MorphgOS/SuperBundle package get a lot of added value and we get an audience to market upgrades to.

On a more important note..
Since not everyone is buying MorphOS/Pegasos:
Are you going to make ImageFX for AmigaOS4.0? :-D
-
@Cyberviking
Kermit's word on the subject as posted on ann. (http://ann.lu/comments2.cgi?show=1067380205&category=news&number=5#comment)

Are you going to make ImageFX for AmigaOS4.0?
Kermit on ANN.lu :
"I talked with Ben Hermans about this back at Amiwest but he's never followed up since then. This lite version for MorphOS has been in progress for some time - and it's because Bill Buck and others from Genesi originally sought us out _and_ provided their own time and support to make it happen.
It's always possible we'll get an OS 4 version created - we just haven't seen any SDK for OS4 yet. "
I'd say the odds are pretty good :)
I've still got an older version of IFX I bought years ago, I'd certainly drop some cash for a OS4 native version- it's batch processing abilities blow PhotoShop away easily.

The only problem with that is, it's posted on ann. I don't go to it at all anymore. ;-)

The reason for no SDK yet was explained long ago, so I accept Kermit's reasoning. As for Bill Buck, I reserve comment. :-D
-
....... I reserve comment.
i'm not interested in starting a discussion, but i have NO idea where this attitude comes from!
this announcement is all good news. period.
good for everybody.
and i'd love to see IFX on OS4, also.
the more the merrier.
-
Attitude? If I have an opinion that I do not disclose, it's an attitude? It's lucky for me that I didn't say anything and that you don't know where it's coming from. Mention Billy's name and the knifes start to sharpen, even if you say nothing about him. I also literally don't know where you're coming from miss "citizen of the universe" (as it reads for your message header). :-D
-
Remember the thread everyone...
This is a good news story about one of the great Amiga programs being ported to MorphOS and being included for Free! Its a great accomplishement lets now darken the news... Dont Panic Be Organic.. time will tell all...

I agree with Magnetic - it doesn't matter where you're "coming from", this is good news.
-
a response i saw on Ann.lu (i've only started looking at the news on that site):
"ImageFX is the one main app I miss from my Amiga days (it was the reason I kept my aging A4k running for so long until it dies completely).
So to hear it is now available for MorphOS is excellent - it does actually give me the final incentive I needed to go and buy a Pegasos."
i feel the same way about IFX. and as it's software that has been important to my career, i can't even begin to express my excitment! :-D

I am very surprised that Nova design have yet to recieve an sdk from those responssible for the amigaos.
I do read the postings of Fleecy on amigaworld once in awhile and he constantly talks about they being in contakt with many companies. Should those companies be better than Nova or are they talking to erm Adobe or some other bigger companies? Or are these companies also expecting the amigaos 4 to be running on toys "cell phones" which will never be released?
I have big deficulties to understand why the people behind the amigaos 4 have at least not contacted some if not most of the prominent software companies who used to wright for the amiga.
Anyway, i have no wonder they can't approach them as Amiga inc have insulted them so much. I hope they sort that out as quickly as possible, unless they are going to perform some real magic that will shock all of us.
