Mike Bouma made a picture report (http://www.stormloader.com/amiga/bas.htm) of the Benelux Amiga / Pegasos Show. Mike brought a professional photographer with him to make sure the pictures would be of good quality.

Mike Bouma made a picture report of the Benelux Amiga / Pegasos Show.
The title is misleading. Mike Bouma made a picture report of the Benelux Amiga Show.
EDIT
(:-x removed)
-
sigh
-
Why the " :-x "? Whats wrong with someone going to a show and taking pictures of only the things that they are interested in?
There are plenty of reports that cover the Pegasos too. Personally, I welcome all photo reports from everyone, even if they just covered the Olli's coldfire, or the Pegasos stuff. The more the merrier.
-
Very nice pictures, but they only give a one-sided description of the event. After the open-minded discussions we (OS4 and MOS people) had on IRC I had expected a bit more. :-)
-
The pictures are very nice, and the format of the report is interesting!
-
there has been enough covered on both sides , so please stop whineing just because there is one news item which doesnt hold pegasos news.
anyway picture quality was great , i had hoped for more pictures though.

But none so far which omitted one or the other. Note, that despite being an Amiga AND Pegasos owner, I just pointed out that Mike Bouma's report is not about the Benelux Amiga/Pegasos Show, but the Benelux Amiga Show exclusively, so the title was really misleading. (sarcasm, as both was held in the same room)

@ Warface
I don't exactly know why you are angry. This is pretty much a report regarding my personal experiences there.
If we see any community reports of the "Computer & Videobörse" held in Bremen, these reports will likely focuss on the AmigaOS4 demonstrations as well instead of on Ataris, Macs and PCs on display there.
These few pictures were all I needed to illustrate my experiences.

I don't have the slightest problem with your exclusive interest in AmigaOS4.
I had concern over Kees' generousity towards you by entitling the news item as report of the "Benelux Pegasos/Amiga Show". If I want to be sarcastic, the title was misleading, as one might think that he will find anything about the Pegasos there, which is clearly not the case.
Good day

It's like going into congress for a photo shoot and only taking pictures of Republicans. ;-)
-
Um... (http://www.stormloader.com/amiga/5.htm)
So which one is Kees, and which one is his wife? :-D
just kidding, Kees :roflmao:

 :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:
-
Why is a hotel called 'Westin' on the 2nd pic :-?.
-
@ Odin
LOL, you have to click the images to read the actual report. The Westin is located next to the BAS and that's where I stayed in between the two BAS days.

@ Warface
IMO when support for an alternative computer platform results so easily in anger over such insignificant things there's something seriously wrong... Don't you agree?
-
@Mike
Great pics! Just one note though:
-The event was NOT solely advertised on the internet. Two weeks before the show, the Computer City catalog was sent to over 700 active Amiga users in the Benelux, every order sent from CC the last 2 months had a flyer in it, which was also given to all CC customers in the shop. Also, the show's webmaster sent press-releases to all major newspapers, magazines, etc. Don't think any published it though... Unfortunately also the HCC didn't even write anything about the show, and they were exhibiting!

When you have to draw incomplete pictures in order to maintain the impression of a deformed reality, then there is something sick, I agree.
-
@ Palpatine
OK I will change this. One of CC's girls provided some inaccurate information then.

Jeeezz. If I would have went to Bremen I would also have written about my personal experiences with regard to the AmigaOS4 demonstrations there. And thus not about the Ataris, Macs and PCs which I did not bother with. I went to the BAS to experience the latest developments with regard to the status of AmigaOS4 for myself. Just like is stated on the overview page.
If some people part of the Peg/MOS user community (and staff) would have been less extreme in the past, I would probably have been more interested in Genesi's products. But I decided not to bother anymore due to this behaviour.
Man, the nonsense I had to go through for saying that MorphOS was promising but still needed alot of work (at the time the OS crashed every few minutes) is something I rather forget.
The Amiga platform is an enthusiastic hobby project for me and so it has to be fun or else I would rather just toss my Amigas into the trash bin. IMO the destructive behaviour of the community's extremists is what kills the (ex-)Amiga community the quickest. Who wants to be parts of a group of whining angry or paranoid losers?

Like those who got the same nonsense from you on ANN lately, I presume. How very fond of you to act as an innocent victim.
Mind you, I haven't attacked you, you are free to have a view and an opinion, I just asked for the correction of the title as it was misleading. Your report had (intentionally) nothing to do with the Benelux Pegasos Show.
-
@ Warface
Like those who got the same nonsense from you on ANN lately,
Come on now, all I did was asking who a certain person was and if anyone knew this person. This is pretty standard information when dealing with any such reports.
Most people know that there have been many hoaxes or otherwise intentionally false information being spread on forums like ANN. Without a source there isn't any creditability with regard to any report.
AmigaWorld has used (http://amigaworld.net/modules/news/article.php?storyid=776) ANN as a news source (moderated as news) before and it turned out to be a hoax. We don't like to make the same mistake twice.
I just asked for the correction of the title as it was misleading.
Thus nothing to be angry about. I am not paid by you or anyone else to provide this report and I believe neither is Kees.
Your report had (intentionally) nothing to do with the Benelux Pegasos Show.
Yes, I publicly promised some extremists not to review or cover MOS anymore (whenever I can) so that they would leave me alone.

@Warface
Drop it ... your nitpicking .. ot whatever its called.
