Yes, what's up with that? if they're planning on selling the thing in ~3 weeks, it must be already in manufacturing. Why withhold the specs?

"IBM", "Genesi", "Phoenix", "Joint pressrelease",..
just a few words from a distant and forgotten past..

Bigger question is how much documentation is there going to be for the new chipset so folks like Michal S. can make sure their porting goes smoothly.

As it says in the news post:
"Specifications and technical details will be disclosed at a later date."
There's a fancy press release coming up which will contain everything. It's not fishy at all - Genesi has absolutely no reason to deceive (or delude) you.
When more than one company is involved in a press release, they all have to run through it and make sure it's good, and that takes a little time. Genesi can't do anything until the other parties are agreed that it's "time".
And of course there's always the tried and true method where we make you sweat for a few days and then give you a morsel to satisfy the craving, Amigans seem to be easier to find and definitely more interesting to tease than heroin addicts.

This is only an announcement of Pegasos II sales; not the only thing that'll be said. Stay tuned.

Congratulations Genesi!
There will be big press releases forthcoming from Genesi. The most important thing is that we got away from Articia and got with Marvell. Alot of the problems with Articia hindered development on Pegasos. I can wait for Peg2
