In order to provide a better service, we have opened the MorphOS Development Forum (http://amiga.org/forums/viewforum.php?forum=23&0) and the Linux PPC Development Forum (http://amiga.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=19).
Please check them out and use these forums for related discussion, questions and problems.
Update: We also opened an AROS development forum.

Very nice! Amiga.org becomes better and better all the time! :-)
-
Good work and good idea!
R&B :-D
P.S. TMHG, are you a Grandmother or do you just have one?!
-
Sometimes I rally wonder why we need to have such a high inflation of new forums, splitting the community further and further. Imagine tha situation, where a developer seeks a answer. Now check this: he has to went to so manny forums and seek for answer and is totally confused. Or stops at the first and goes away. Would it be not better, if all in one forum? There are plenty of webpages on the net that MORPHOS-Developers can went to already, providing much better and dedicated service.
Among them:
MorphOS Developer Consortium (http://mdc.morphos.net/) (offical Genesi servic for developer)
Phinixi Conection (http://www.phinixi.com/) (halve-offical Genesi servic for developer)
Morphzone (http://www.morphzone.org/) (half-offical I think, has dev forum to)
Pegasos Beta2 Mailinglist (offical Genesi service)
Now why another forum? For which purpose?
I dunno, but that raelly seems an bit too much enthusiasm for me. Best way to support devvies would be too close the MOS forum agein to aviod furthr confusion.
P.S.: Sorry, mine English is not to good. Hopes you stilll understend. :-)

Cough!!!! Forget anyone?
hint! hint?
-EDIT- FEELING LEFT OUT HERE!!!! :-(

Actually Jaguar there arent any more forums, there are the same number.... it looks as though the 'AmigaDE" forums are gone now..
-
Meh,
why doesnt this site switch to Morphos? Basically everyone is a nerd for it?
-
@Jaguar,
There is, and has already been an AmigaOS Development forum on this site for years. The Administrators simply thought it would be a good idea to expand that to include MorphOS as well as Linux PPC Development. After all, both affect the Amiga community and if you want to be seen as unbiased (which Amiga.org does), one should support everything.
I even heard a rumor that they might also be adding an AROS Development forum as well, if someone wants to make the case for its existence.
-
hah! yes lets add AROS also into this site.

Not me...

Nah, just want to be picked up by one! :-P
-
Its a great idea to add these new forums . :-)
-
@whabang
I was wondering when someone was going to use that as an avatar :-D

Now that is a reasonable idea.

I'm going to buck the trend and say I have reservations about this. The Linux PPC forum is fine, but I would have put all other Amiga related development under one roof. It would be better overall if the various Amiga developers didn't split into separate camps too much and are encouraged to work together more for everyone's benefit.
This community's resources are few, specially on the development front. Exploiting them to maximum effect for everyone's benefit can only be a good thing.
Users? Now users I would split into separate rooms and let them scream themselves uncinscious. :-P

Because we focus on both Amiga and Pegasos scenes ... I don't know why people have so much problems with the fact that we support both solutions.

Add AROS to that list as soon as you can :-)! Hopefully it will eventually run on Pegasos & A1 too :-D
-
There is an Aros development forum too :-)
-
WooHoo!
