While this second interview has been delayed for several reasons, we are proud to bring you the second interview with Ben Hermans (Hyperion Entertainment), about the status of Amiga OS4.
I would like to thank Ben for taking the time to answer our questions.

It was a much better interview than I've expected, congratulations! There were many interesting questions and answers.
-
Dave who?...just kidding! :-D
Dank je wel, Ben ;-)
-
Thank you for that nice and informative interview! :-)
-
Very nice interview, thanks to Ben for answering all the questions in a straightforward way.

I enjoyed that interview too. It's about all that can be said at this point, but it was an interesting read.
Personally, i've already bought my computer this year (Windows XP Athlon system)...and will not be buying anything else.
But I will be glad if next year there is an amiga or amiga-like system to purchase.

Im afraid it is too early to tell as we are having to re-evaluate certain priorities for commercial reasons.
I don't hope that this means that OS4 will be delayed even more ...
-
Good interview as always with Ben

all I can say is that only the AmigaOS 4.0 team can claim to have had full access to the AmigaOS 3.x source-code. You would expect this to result in superior compatibility but that remains to be seen as other design decisions also have an impact on that.
My favourite quote.
This is not a flame.

Ben is actually a pretty reasonable guy, his problem is that he's pretty easy to bait so some people like to poke him until he says something stupid.

Good interview :-D

This makes me a bit :nervous:

Well.. this Q&A is a good one.. Not too much hype of anything soon
and being so close of everything. And no too techical issues ..
CodeSmith: Well,, this is only my view to things but in my eyes he'd
be much more respectable if he woud abstain commenting things he have
no clue (things needing right education and/or years of experience).
And admitting some past mistakes would also make a lot good to his
Imago.
