As posted on ANN (http://www.ann.lu) ...
"The 3.0 version of the soccer game Eat The Whistle has been rereleased as GPL. The game has been almost fully rewritten to be portable and will be available in the next days for Win32, MacOSX, Linux x86, AmigaOS 68k and MorphOS, you can find it here:
http://etw.sourceforge.net/
The Amiga version requires a GFX card, AHI, 040 or better and SDL installed."
"After about 5 years from the commercial amiga release I've chosen to distribute ETW again, in the past years in my spare time I've ported it to SDL, so that it can runs in the wider range of platforms possible. I've also added a few features and the possibility to make matches through TCP/IP (with a server), but I've not had enough time to make all the new stuff bug free. I hope that this release will help Eat The Whistle to grow as developers and users and become a successfull opensource game!"

I must be blind. I can't figure out where you are supposed to d/l the amiga version.

Well, the news item says that it will be available in the "next
days", so I suggest you just keep looking at
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=84846 (sorry, I
have lots of problems with amiga.org in voyager - I couldn't use the
URL button ....). You might have a look at the CVS too. Maybe there's
a working version so far, but I'd guess there's none when they don't
relese it yet .... Well, at
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/etw/ it at least
looked like there was amiga related code in the repository (although
I didn't browser through all of it *G*).

There are still no binaries available for Amiga and MorphOS,
I guess they'll be available in the next days. Failing that,
there are already makefiles available for both
platforms here:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/etw/etw/
so it should be reasonably simple to compile them. Since
the game is now GPL'ed, it would be great if also the
original Amiga version would be available.

Hmmm, I just dont get it :-( . That game looks like an Atari 5200 game! We need better stuff than this! The miggy should be playing Winning Eleven 7 style games, not this!
Now if this is just a project that someone was working on then its cool. :-D

This SDL stuff, is that what makes an A500 game require a 040? ;-)
