with bsdsocket emulation... :-)
is winuae the ame as uae for linux?
can i/someone compile the newest version with the
bsdsocket enabled???

my limited understanding is that the linux UAE is different than WinUAE.
-
WinUAE includes a lot of "unofficial" patches and features that are not found in the base UAE tree. Some are Windows specific, some not.
It's fair to say that although WinUAE is always based on the Linux UAE base, it is also more advanced than the Linux version in terms of features.
It's to be hoped that some of the features added to WinUAE will make into the next release of the official source tree, but it appears that interest in maintaining that could be waning.
Certainly anybody considering running UAE on their AmigaOne/Linux set-up won't be getting anything even close to what Windows users get with WinUAE.
(e.g. bsdsocket amulation and JIT are not parts of the official UAE source tree)

well make us an linux ppc port...or an wos/pup one , no need to post info on uae for windows unless it can actually be ported ...
oh silly me, i forgot... there is still some pc people around here and using this site =)

New UAE is a good thing. I just with they'd introduce a method of throttling so you can speed up and slow down the emulation, like you could when using VSync on older versions. Running games like MegaLoMania at 100Hz makes the game a lot less boring. ;-)
All right... just how do you make CAPS images? I'd love to get my old copy of Outrun working on WinUAE.
