Title: Atlantis Report by Ali Akcaagac
Post by: Kees on August 17, 2003, 05:03:01 PM
Ali Akcaagac aka oGALAXYo (http://www.akcaagac.com/) has written an open letter to the community about the status of Atlantis.

"As I vaguely described a couple of times my plans are to port KHTML together with the AWeb team to either AmigaOS and MorphOS so we have a common framework. Then I gonna start porting Atlantis over to use that engine and to use a native MUI GUI."

It should be noted now that there sadly wont be a Atlantis port as Galaxy have pulled out from the deal (dont ask me why but i guess it will come online soon enough amiga gossip always does) :).

Would this have been worth it anyway? I mea, OS4.1+ is going to have a framework with HTML CSS XML DOM etc... I guess it'd be good for those people prefering opensource applications...

Rodney..

4.0 needs to come out before they can plan for anything later, nevermind code, document and release it.
