Amiga.org staff have trimmed our user database. If you haven't logged in during the last year, your account has been deleted. To prevent your account from being deleted, please read our 'user policy (http://amiga.org/modules/sections/index.php?op=viewarticle&artid=12)' -- which is currently still under construction.
If you would like to register for a new account, click here... (http://amiga.org/register.php)

Cleaning up the user database may speed up access, but on the downside... Some ancient posts may become "posted by anonymous."
-
I dont see what the big deal is... why does it matter if some old posts get orphaned? if it helps the it helps the site... this isnt a antique shop is it?
-
So how many accounts got deleted? How many registered users does a.org have now?
-
Answer to both:
Thousands
-
Surely you can be more informative than 'thousands"?
How about if I say please? ;-)
-
Another point:
any PM's posted by the now deleted users are now "anonymous"
Not that it's bothering me tho :-D

Speaking of which, does anyone know what ever happened to Simplex?
He used to be a major contributer here but his account has been deleted for some time.
I liked the discussions I used to have with him. We rarely agreed but it was always interesting and he gave me a different perspective on a few things.
Simplex - if you're out there watching this, come back! :-)
-
Mine was removed. :-x
I havent logged on for a while, but it was certainly within the last year. I check the site every day though.
I've re-registered now, but i've lost my posting information (number of posts, etc.) :madashell:
-
Well im here everyday so i should be ok.
-
Good. I was thinking about that the other day.
After I went through the list in the email area, trying to find just 2 names - it took so long :(
