Title: Hacking Contest Promotes Security

In Las Vegas eight teams of hackers are fighting eachother in a hacking contest. In a 'Capture the Flag' kinda game, the teams try to defend there own server and attack the ones of their adversaries.

"This sort of adversarial testing shows what is possible--and not--with security," said Crispin Cowan, chief scientist at Linux security seller Immunix and the leader of the Immunix team. "We value this competition, because we think it is a better evaluation of security than common criteria."

No, this sort of adversarial testing shows how many complete lamer sysadmins there are out there who would have mental difficulty working at McDonalds, let alone something that requires half a brain.

Haha.  The biggest fault in any machine is good ol' human error.

I still think it's an interesting idea, though I can't see how it would be entertaining without some NASA-style "Master Alarms" thrown in for good measure.   ;-)
