Due to reasons I will not explain here further (ask me in private), Poseidon keyfiles cannot be bought after 01-Aug-03. People having just bought an USB card, that does not come with an OEM Licence, have the chance to register Poseidon until the end of this month.
Support for existing users is NOT affected and will continue as usually.
It is recommended that dealers stop selling USB cards without licence to avoid angry customers buying an useless piece of hardware, until the vendor delivers his own software solution or the situation is solved somehow.

Well done Chris... :-)
Although Elbox products are quite good they should change their attitude if they want to continue in the Amiga market... no MorphOS driver, no OpenPCI support, no real DMA (afaik the A4000 version also needs the gfx ram to allow the use of DMA pci cards... that's pathethic, ZorroIII has DMA, in the 1200 version I can understand it, but in the 4000version I can't see why would they support old busters... the should give the user the option of using the gfx ram with old busters and real DMA with Buster11) And of course, they should make a MorphOS driver and they should support OpenPCI... Prometheus are physically crap (try to fit one in an A4000T and tell me how many zorro slots can you use) but at least have OpenPCI and MorphOS support (with the updated firmware these cards also simulate DMA and don't have real DMA... again... pathethic) So the only card with real DMA seems to be the G-Rex but they don't give the information to do a driver to Hyperion... well... this is great :-(

I agree with this elbox make some great hardware but not supplying a full registered version of your software is bad for the public that buy there products, as your software works well they should license full retail versions from you or write there own although that would be stupid as Poseidon is a working solutionthat is available now. :-)

iirc, Elbox also let Poseidon author believe, that users could use any
"standard" USB card, and wouldn't need to buy more expensive
customized one... Well, that's what we can expect from Elbox anyway...

so people who wants to buy spider2.0 usb now , cant register posiedion after 1st of august ?

@lempkee
That is correct.

And why does this matter?
Isn't OS4 supposed to come with its own USB stack anyways? Aren't all Mediator-owners basicly well planted in the OS4-wait-along club? Apart from oddballs like me who basicly bought it just for play, that is.
