Title: Any good links for info on A2630?
Post by: Nitro on October 06, 2003, 08:05:47 PM
First off Thanks to the community for all the
help I`ve gotten in setting up my old A2000.
I`ve got it up and running, harddrive cdrom ect.
Now, I found an A2630 but it doesn`t seem to work
right.  It will come on with the option 68000 or 68030.
After picking one, the screen goes black and that`s
the last I see of anything.  There is also a message at the top about ram.  Anybody know what`s going on?  Any good links on info, tech specs ect.?

Have you tried the "Big Book of Amiga Hardware (http://www.amiga-hardware.com)" web site ???

The particular page on there that I found about the A2630 is - http://www.amiga-hardware.com/a2630.html (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/a2630.html).

You could always try doing a search on Google (http://www.google.com) for "A2630" as well.

Yeah, I`ve checked that out at Big Book of Amiga Hardware.  I got my jumper setting from there, but It
still doesn`t act right.  The card may just be busted,
but I hope not.  I`ll try Google and some more search engines to see what I can find out. Thanks

What OS are you running? I seem to recall that a ROM upgrade was needed for one of the newer upgrades.. 3.0 maybe. I couldn't find my notes on the subject...
