After 7 years. Amitopia is going into history. It's been fun, interesting, irritating and most important .. a supportive Amiga magazine. But without writers, without helpers, without any energy from no one. Its now over! I wish everyone a happy summer! All of the Amitopia payments is been put into www.amigaworld.org for beeing with you 1 more year.
Thanks to everyone wich supported me and I still have the Amiga kick inside-me! just, Amitopia wont be there for no one.
Amitopia also thanks ELBOX for beeing a supportive Amiga company and helped out Amitopia with sending products for reviews and more! We also thank ClickBOOM for trusting Amitopia and sending us games for reviews! We also thank Vulcan Software (wich isnt annymore).
My Amiga spirit will allways be there.. if you have any words or any questions:
mberg@broadpark.no
yet again! thanks to everyone with the passion and spirit for keeping Amiga alive.. be there, we need you! *hug*

Didnt i see the exact same announcement like 6months ago?

Good luck in the future, then.

I'm very sad now.... Thanks Amidelf for your support to the amiga comunity.
-
Really? 7 years? Thought you only just recently made a go of it didn't you?
-
amitopia has been in norway for about 7 years yes , i recall it beeing released while i was in the army , but at that time it was more or less only to a few people , later it got messed about and
people left it , and iirc in 99 it was restarted
and then died now.
anyway i dont miss it really but its sad to see more people give in or give up.
if it was up to me , then i would have only 1 MAG on amiga , but that mag must have been in all languages (english/french/spanish and german)
with the quality of like amigaformat once was.
lets hope such a mag comes around soon enough as its bound to happen now that the market is on a rise again....
cheers..
pps:amidelf , sorry to hear the info, i hope you have other projects to keep you bizi while u wait for os4.

Thank you yet again for all of your support! Your the best! I wish you all the best in the future!

Its a sad day to see Amitopia going away after seeing you struggle and work on it for so long, I hope you come back with another magazine someday AmiDelf ... I'm sure you will sometime ;-)
-
Yeah, i can definitely see why so many people are giving up this days.. The community this days is just too small to make enough profits to keep going.
Lets hope AmigaONE/OS4 is a success... though i doubt so personally..
-
if I come back, it will not be Amitopia, it will be something done tougether in a staffgroup. for now Amitopia is history and I can offcourse sell old Issues of the magazine if people are interested. I have more than 200 copies here wich is not sent out, so...
thanks.. I will be with the Amiga all the way, just Amitopia wont be there. sad, but true.
Regards,

General community magazine maybe?... e.g peg/morph/a1/os4/amithlon/etc ?...cover the whole genre?...
-
hmm i havent even heard of AMIGAGUIDEN ..
anyway i stick to total amiga and amigafuture (the mags) because thats the only one i still belived was alive....
cheers
-
Well, it could be done, but then again.. It would also contain a lot of Retro stuff, and more.. Amitopia was a 100% Amiga magazine, we ignored winuae and emulators wich goes against what Amiga is +++

Michal

Its really sad to see this day come after seeing you struggle with Amitopia for so long.
I wish you all the best with your Amiga in the future.
Lets hope its not too long before you make another magazine 8-)

Amitopia wont be back. Sorry,.. but I am allways there for new jobs. People seems to love attacking things wich are done. Oki, well Amitopia is no more. Unless I get 5 writers wich works with it for every Deadline, upto 3-4 freelancers and more. Then I would rethink the whole thing, but alone! I cant do it.. sorry! So, its no more!
