The User group SWAUG has asked a few questions of Thomas Frieden regarding OS4 development. You can read it here (http://www.swaug.org.uk/int110603.html).

Good one !!
In addition .. we'll start collecting questions for Ben Hermans - take 2, right after the last OS4 on Tour date. I believe that is 5 Juli.

Now where are those answers from bbrv :-) .

You'd better ask him :-)

;-) Nice, so far. Samba would let the AmigaOS 4.0 fit right in with my existing home network; I already have the configuration files for my A4000 under OS 3.9

Thomas
Thank you for the interview and thank you SWAUG. It is very good to get this kind of communication with one of the key developers of the new Amiga OS.
Keep up the good work.

More importantly, where are the answers from Carl Sassenrath? ;-)

Pity about the lack of firewire support. Were it about anything else, I'd just shrug and say "EH!" - but Firewire support is a very good thing to have for NLE, and video editing was a big part of the Amiga's popularity. At least in the U.S.
Perhaps it's different from a european perspective and thus not viewed as important.
