Oh, come on Gary, this is an amiga discussion, did you seriously expect anything but? if it hadn't been MikeB it would've been someone else.
What really bugs me is that the sort of people who visit OSNews is exactly the kind of people the Amiga has any chance of atttracting (after all, what happy Windows user is going to go there?). After bickering like that (and MikeB is by no means the only one), what kind of an impression do you think that all those other people are going to have? I've stopped mentioning my affinity to amigas to "outsiders", exactly because of the response this triggers. The typical comment is, "oh yeah, that's the cool machine from the 80s with the users who like slagging each other off"

yeah whenever I talk to other people I know int he IT industry who are friends about Pegasos/MorphOS I never mention Amiga..even though the Peg/MOS came from this community... because to most people its usually one of these reponses
1:commodore (failure)
2:Amiga(they owned an atari and hated amigas by default)
3: liked the amiga but saw it slide downhill
4:hears 1980's and computer together and assume its crap by default
5:saw this community one time and ran like hell...
wich means to them that something compatible with it must share in its eccentricities... so I just say 'nope Pegasos is an all new platform, kinda like a Mac... see heres a screenshot... ' and trail it off from there ;P

Can't wait for Boumas review of OS4 and the Amiga Inc situation around it. I am sure it will be 100% unbiased. How about it Mike? ;-)

I like the site layout simple and without any fancy graphics and effects i also liked the review very well written and imformative . :-D

I don't know which is worse, reading Bouma's overly fluffed spin to counter the article or reading DaveP's attack trash. I'm beginning really to hate that site with a passion.
