I was skimming through the "Bargain Pages" at work (that bored :-) ) and saw this:
A1000 with 90 games, external drive, joypad for £30.
It's in Sutton Coldfield. If anyone's interested, PM me and I'll tell you the phone number (IMO its not fair to put it here if he/she didn't ask for it :-) )

Don`t bother I saw this too, and quickly rang the number.(I only live a couple of miles from sutton).
I enquired about the A1000, only to be told by the seller it was an A500, with a 1/2 meg upgrade, and somehow he thought it made it a A1000 !!.
I dont know how i kept myself from not laughing down the phone.
Ignorance is BLISS !

Simple arithmatic - the A500 came with 512k or RAM. Adding another 1/2 Mb doubles the memory - therefore the model number doubles

Is that not what i said in a round about fashion?
i did not want to point out the obvious !. :-P
