On MorphZone (http://www.morphzone.org) there is a quick REVIEW (http://www.morphzone.org/modules/sections/index.php?op=viewarticle&artid=13) of MAME for MorphOS using the Maguila interface
-
A fair review. MAME for MOS is also surprisingly well optimised (getting Metal Slug to run on MAME 0.67 and a 600MHz CPU is no mean feat) and very, very stable.

I have had better luck with MorphOS MAME than with MAME on windows. It seems that PC MAME disagrees with my graphics card...
Anyway, FYI, Maguila is up on uni-paderborn's aminet.

A great piece of software for morphos mame is great . :-D

Damn right, it's good to see a MODERN MAME distribution for MorphOS. AmigaMAME always lagged far behind because of a lack or hardware horsepower. MAME_MOS runs most games at full speed. Only the newest or weirdest games get any slowdown.
MAME is an essential part of any platform, and it gets hard usage on my Peggy:-D

Ok.. more info... Maguila was made using Hollywood, and it is a 68k app. Since it's just an interface, it should not matter much. Anyway, like I said before (here, somewhere else?) Mame works better for me on morphos than it does on my windows machine.
