Title: Amiga Forever 5.3 released!

What's it been - a week or so since 5.2 came out? Nice to see Cloanto evaluating UAE releases quicker than in the past - Amiga Forever is now bang up-to-date using the recently released 0.8.22.7 build of WinUAE. New features include a toggle for the Amiga's sound filter in the configurations panel, improved ShapeShifter support, compatibility improvements and an updated AHI driver  :-)

If I didn´t have this oppinion saying, that I can´t - in any way - pay for software running on my windows machine, then I would have bought Amiga Forever...

I tell you what, buy AF, then download WinUAE
from the net and install it over the AF installation.

WinUAE is free. So you never paid for it.
You paid for preinstalled Amiga system with
som (nice) Tools from Cloanto.

And those things dont run on Windows..

Hmm.. Okey, There is one app that does, but
you could always delete it :)

I Love Amiga Forever BUT...

Does it now come with OS 3.9 yet???

I always thought it was odd that they ship fully licensed and supported software and did not ship with the latest OS...

I'm going to bye it anyway...

I can't find any referance to 5.3 on the Cloanto Web Site yet???

Sorry - my bad! I assumed Cloanto would've posted this on the website - Existing users of Amiga Forever 5.x have an update tool called "Software Manager" - if you run that and click on "Check Now" it'll show 5.3 available for download.

I guess they've spent more time tinkering with Amiga Forever than keeping the website up-to-date

Did the upgrade :-D  :-D  :-D
Be advised to first upgrade to Directx Ver 8.0 or above ....currently 9.0a...free upgrade from MS.

AF5.3  :-D  seems a bit snappieron my 366 PII..laptop
So far all is stable ..

Again its a free upgrade to AF5 THROUGH the software manager..

got some issues with 8.22.7.......
seems slower in executing an arexx script by a
factor of 2+
seems also hang on saying the mouse is still working?
ask for alt tab..crashes :-?  :-?
